Junior calls Jimmy Johnson and idiot. Biffle agrees.

Even though Johnson was involved with both incidents, I have to go with what Jarrett said. As most of you know, I think that Jimmie is a prima dona in the sport and as such, he won't take blame for anything and even here he's quick to say that it wasn't his fault. I've seen plenty of action that was caused by him, but he'll never admit it. As for Sunday, his moves were only a part of the problem. For the first one, it was a combination of all the events that were happening at the same time. I believe that if only one of them hadn't happened, there wouldn't have been a wreck. We've seen what has been called great control by the guys now and then when they corrected themselves and nothing happened. If Jimmie hadn't have moved up and tapped Mike's fender, or if Scott hadn't been on the outside that close. Had Jr. not tapped the rear of Mike's car. It's racing and I never saw anything intentional or stupid either. I don't think that anyone was overly aggressive in the first one either. Now as to the second one, well that's another story. :)

I pretty much agree with you. I don't know if JJ moved up or just got a little loose or what, but if Jr. hadn't bumped Mike and got him loose it might not have happened. Actually I for once like MW idea of taking the bracing out of the nose so that the teams won't bump draft. For once he made sense.

You know....it seems theres always somebody thats on a bad "wreck" streak. I think it was last season when Tony Stewart was on his. He had like 3-4 races where he was on a continuous streak of taking people out. He received a ton of flak over it from fellow racers as well as their associated fans.

Like said above, its called hard racing.

Now, as far as professionalism in the sport...... Jr. should really have taken a second thought on what came out of his mouth. The replays clearly show several factors involved. You didnt hear the other drivers ripping him.....yet he takes it upon himself to rip Jimmy. It just goes to show is immaturity.

so is Biffle inmature as well?

earlier this week i went to Foxnews.com and their main headline was a picture of the wreck and the headline stated...Dale Earnhardt Jr. takes out 25 cars....he's getting his name dragged through the mud on this one...i can understand why he called JJ an idiot...maybe we can get a fued going like we used to back in the good ole days...that will bring some excitment back to the sport...esp with 2 of the series biggest drivers.

"I wasn't even hitting him (Wallace) down the straightaway and he (Johnson) ran him into the fence," Earnhardt Jr. said. "Then he hit the wall off Turn 2 and turned everybody around. ...If there was one idiot out there, it was him. It was pretty obvious to me."

The only response I have to Lil'E's statement is, remember when you (Lil'E) said that Wallace was bouncing off of your bumper like a woodpecker? What exactly were you referring to if you weren't even hitting him? IOW, you, sir, are....

Nevermind, what's the use?

Barelypure, I'm beginning to believe your purpose on these forums is solely to find an opportunity to criticize Dale Jr. Whether or not he did something wrong, all I've ever seen you comment with is about how Jr. did this or that and how spoiled he is.

But he has a valid point. Junior did say on live television that Mike Wallace was bouncing off his bumper like a "woodpecker"

No, no, no. You can't take Lil'Es words and use them against him. They are no longer viable. He has said that JJ was the sole cause of the wreck and for anyone to doubt him or even think he played a minor role in any of this is just wrong...

I mean we don't want to upset his legions of fans by shining a little light on the situation. Now do we?

minor role in any of this is just wrong...

Feel free to take time and read over the previous post on this...i believe the majority of us in here believe that it was a mix of things that happened...and one of them being Jr bump drafting Wallace...(which every other driver in the race did on Sunday)....i still believe if JJ had not had slide up the track the wreck wouldnt have happened.

If any of the several factors involved (from various drivers) didnt happen, the wreck wouldnt have happened. It was a synergistic effect caused by a combination of the following:

  • Restrictor Plate Racing
  • Hard Racing
  • Pressure put on drivers thanks to the new points system

Every board has a troll...you just get used to it after a while...

Why thank you fergy, but I assure you I can't sing a lick...

Now I know what "troll the ancient yule tide carol" means.

Isn't trawl when you have a main line with a number of down lines attached? I know one can buy a "trolling" motor. However, the throttle position on my boat motor which is used for trolling shows a turtle. And, NO, I do not troll for turtles :)

Here's looking forward to some excellent racing from Darlington.

In my Webster's Dictionary. Part of the definition or Troll is. A dwarfish being in Scandinavian mythology that dwells in caves and mounds. :growl:

I think the fishing aspect can be either trawl or troll, but isn't it
"Toll" (like a bell) the ancient yuletide carol? I don't know, but Turtle soup sounds good. :)

The term is simple. A troll drops bait and trolls it around waiting for a bite and then hooks ya..........my guess is that BP just might fit the definition used in that sense. :)

Me, try and bait someone. To get people to think or at the very least reveal their prejudices and misconceptions. Why ever would I do that? :)

Oh and as to your troll that lives in caves and mounds, and under bridges...when is a troll not a troll?

When he's under a Sprite's dress...then he's a Goblin... ;)
