For the second straight year, Dale Earnhardt Jr. was voted the Pillsbury Grands! Biscuits NMPA Most Popular Driver in New York, which carried with it a check for $10,000.
The driver of Dale Earnhardt Inc.'s No. 8 Chevrolets has donated the proceeds to two North Carolina animal organizations, The Animal Adoption League and Lake Norman Lucky Cats.
"On behalf of Dale Jr., we are grateful for the kindness and countless hours of volunteers who assist organizations such as the Animal Adoption League and Lake Norman Lucky Cats," said Kelley Earnhardt Elledge, Earnhardt Jr.'s business manager and sister.
"We felt it was appropriate to use the winning funds to support our community and to say thank you to those who voted Dale Jr. most popular driver... We know these organizations will utilize the monies for the benefit of animals."
