Fortunately, my Norton advised me of this very early on.

If I don't know the sender, I don't open.
 
I get those stupid things all the time, I just blacklist them........

kat, email scams aren't virii and Norton has has nothing to do with email messages scams.
 
I can't believe it either. I developed a scanning tool to help identify these insidious emails. For $295.99, I'll send it to ya. :p
 
I havent checked my email in so long that it doesnt matter anyway, I guess I dont need to be spending 300$.
 
I got a virus today............well mail washer and norton caught it...but I have the persons email address that sent it.........it is an aol address...........it looks like it was sent directly to me, what do you think I should do? get hold of aol with the email address?

Mail Washer, along with Norton Anti Virus does a pretty good job of catching it before it gets to your computer.

DE, I tried to load Mail Washer, but it said it was "corrupted".

I have Norton systemworks 2002, with Ghost et all.
Do you think I need mailwasher too??
 
Mail Washer just checks your email while it's still on your ISP's server........before it you download it. It warns of possible virii and spam. You can read the email first before you download to check if you want it. Norton kicks in then. But it never gets to your computer. It's handy in conjunction with anti virus but not replacement for it. Try downloading the program again.....it's worth the effort.:)
