Unseen Earnhardt --- The Man Behind the Mask edited by Lee Klancher.

Is stuffed with really good pics --- most I've never seen before. Particularly those about his early career.

One really neat thing is the listing at the very end of every WC race DE entered, starting with 1975 --- starting, finish, laps completed, condition, and winnings.

TRL, you ever been up this way and visited RCR's shops and museum? It's just a few miles from me down in Welcome, NC. In the museum, you can see that #3 car that Dale wrecked so terribly and then hopped back in and drove. Also there is one of Mike Skinner's wrecked cars. I tell you, when you see those cars up close and can see all the damage, you begin to get a whole new perspective on these guys.

DEW, don't know about B&N. Ordered mine through Amazon on Thursday last week -- came today.

buckaroo, I've been through the museum and the shop several times. I even touched the 'Dega car that was being prepped for the race --- his last win.

Oooooooo, I'm impressed! :) I can only go to these places once and that's enough. When I went to Elliott's shops where Evernham's are now, he had one of the Batman cars available for anyone to climb in if so inclined. That window looked way too small for this big boy to crawl through, so I passed on it. Next time you guys are in the area, we'll have to hook up for a cup of joe or something.
