Just Stay Away From Him

Jeremy Mayfield and Robby Gordon were making some contact on the race track during the caution flag b/c they were disagreeing about who came out first. Ray Evernham reminded Jeremy that the #31 doesn't finish too many races, so Jeremy should race him clean and just stay away from him.

Good advice. :)

I use to like Robbie Gordon. I just can't stand how ****y he has become now with a fulltime ride. Sadly, Everham's advice is right, stay away from the 31 and you will finish the race.

Well that's good then we can have a good discussion about the lighter side of racing.

One thing Evernham is NOT, and that's stupid.
Stay away Jeremy, Robber is bad news.

Somebody needs to tell the rest of the field to stay away from him. He and mark Martin just got together a bit.

Yes I noticed were sig. before. And you're first saying applys very well for us college students here.

Its pretty sad how you guys either do not know anything about the sport or that you guys are very biased...

Robby Gordon = 3 dnf's, two because of wrecks = 19th in points

Jeremy Mayfield = 7 dnf's, four because of wrecks = 24th in points

So who's the better driver now? And please don't give me that whole better equipment crap because Bill is in the top 10 in points while all of RCR is struggling this year.

I've never really understood all the hype surrounding Jeremy. He's not one of my favs and I can't figure out why Ray was so heck bent on getting him. I'm not sure why either of them needed to go banging on each other...like the guys in the booth said, Nascar would have straightened out the starting position without either of them possibly giving the other a flat.

That being said, I do like Robby and think he gets a raw deal and very little respect from the other drivers. And before anyone says he has to earn respect, yes I've heard that before.

BTW, no offence to any Jeremy fans intended. :)

Problem with Robby is he's been reading his own press clippings.....and believes every one of them! He's just a brat......when he matures and quits pointing fingers at others for all his problems he will probably become a good driver in NASCAR. Until then, he's nothing more than an immature wannabe. Drivers would be wise to stay away from him until that day.:)

I'll admit he whines like no one else, but he's a good driver. If only he could harness that intensity into his car.

And use his head once in a while......he causes most of his own problems because he gets pissed off and decides it's time the "show those guys who's boss". He isn't that good.......just thinks he is.:(

You're right. I think he could be though, if he wasn't such an idiot.

But he's definately a better driver than Mayfield is.

I agree with that totally. I think he just needs to calm the heck down, too. Richard Childress does seem to be a good influence on him!

I think the problem is is that whatever he does, he will always get crap from the press, nascar, the fans, and other drivers. Yeah he does his fair share of whining, but every driver does, maybe not as much, maybe just as much.

The way I see it, Robby is getting the same crap treatment as Tony did (still does actually) and like Tim Richmond did.

But you see, neither of those drivers would ever be caught uttering the words in DE Wrangler's sig.

I do think Robbie Gordon has a hot temper. If he would calm down sometimes he would do a lot better and get better results. He isn't a bad driver by any means, nor do I hate him, his attitude is just what gets to me.

Ray is going to bring some F1 high speed technology to his Dodge Team! Lookout for Evernham motorsports!

And how much does this have to do with Robby Gordon or Jeremy Mayfield and their fender bumping?:)

Yeah well, theres hot temps. in all sports and they all need to cool it to do well.

Paul,

The key is if only Robby Gordon could harness that intensity into his car. Big if.

He did finish the race today, though. That's a start.
