I'm sure that some of you are wondering what happened to Kasey in those last laps when he got lapped. I have Track Pass just so I can keep up with him and others because the TV sure as hell won't give you the story. After that last restart, Kasey had new tires and they had finally gotten him adjusted to where he could really race the car again and had worked himself up to 13th and was moving ahead with ease. I was watching those little bubbles on TP and was tickled to see him possibly get a top ten after the rather bad day he had been having. Maybe things were finally turning around for him in this race. But then, what did I see but that little #9 bubble hitting pit road and being able to listen in on the scanner of his, I heard him say that something was wrong with the engine. They thought it was a plug wire and tried to get him back out before he went a lap down. They did, but he must have had more than a plug wire work loose because he not only went a lap down, but lost positions to Stremme and Marlin before the race ended, being only able to complete a lap more than four second off his average racing time. At the time before he hit the pits, he was back in 5th place in the points. Now, he's 7th place, just one point ahead of Hamlin.

Kasey sure needs some good luck with the next six races or he could be out of the Chase. :(

Thanks. I did wonder what happened to him. They did not mention it on the tv or I missed it.

Good ol' crappy ass TNT/NBC coverage or lack there of.

oh thanks buckaroo i too wondered what happened to him.

Buck i too was watching Kasey make progress to the front on the last restart only to be foiled by what looked to me to be a cylinder or valve train problem. TNT did not mention what happened to him once, either during the race or post race that i heard anyway, way to go....once again very good coverage with all those commercials i love.

Thanks for the post I seen that too. Im a member of Kaseys Fan club and someone posted the samething in Kaseys forums. I started to get excited when I seen him moving up to 13th!! Then a second later he was right beside hamlin and I was like WTF!!

I dont think Ive ever been that mad of all the damn commercials!!!! :bsflag:

I assumed it was somthing like that.

I love when we come back from a comercial break for a caution and the are racing into turn two  What a crock. I posted last week that I wouldn't be willing to pay to watch NASCAR on TV, but I think the coverage is getting worse and worse every week. Maybe a race like Bristol or Richmond I would.

Well, the one thing that I will say for NASCAR.com is it does have Track Pass, and though I have it and do enjoy it, if I weren't connected with Road Runner, I wouldn't have it. Because my cable is with Time Warner, I get TP free and though it won't replace watching the actual racing, it does allow me to stay up with my favs for the entire race, and this year, I've been able to listen to Kasey and crew on the scanner. Any time they have a free period, you all should at least give it a shot...that is unless they first require a credit card number. :(

We have Comcast, so i can't get it, plus i don't even get Speed Channel unless i get the digital package . So i have basic cable, now if i can talk my sister into getting a dish here at the house....heheheheh.

Can anyone tell me the car Kasey used at Pocono is the same car he used last year at Indy? I just heard Hamlin is taking the same car he used at Pocono to Indy. Hes going to be tough to beat if so!

I can't tell you anything other than what Kasey is driving is totally different than what he was driving last year. Ray switched teams with the #9 and #19 teams totally. So, if we look at this from that standpoint, we can see that what Jeremy had going into the Chase last year is the same cars and teams that Kasey has this year, we might see the difference, I won't say anything more about that, but it's clear that the two teams are on opposite pages.

Mopar, I feel for you. We don't have the Speed channel either and I'm not going to pay for digital tier for it either. Luckily I have TW as my cable company and as such, I do have perks that I'm greatful for.

The Dish Network sports tier is looking better and better every day. :D

I have Comcast, Trackpass, speed and more! Believe me, the digital package it worth it for more than Speed, etc.
DH, what'll you do next year when ESPN's multiple stations will be covering Nascar? :(
Let me tell you that AMC, Discovery, Court TV, BBC America, Animal Planet, USA, TLC, and more are well worth the $$.

We have like 7 TVs running out of one line , so getting the Digital package from Comcast would be a little expensive. I rent the back half of the house from my sister at the moment , so the solution to my problem is to get the Dish. The Dish offers more from what i can see, i don't need local channels, just all the sports i can watch....lol.

FYI...

The Pocono car was chassis 124 the same car used eailer this year at Las Vegas.

The Indy car from last year was chassis 119 it was killed in a qualiying crash at Kansas.

So....Im told they think he will be using a brand new car at Indy.
