Kasey Kahne

Yep, just when you think he's ready to break out, he breaks down. Still, it's a long year and let's hope that he turns things around and the bad luck will be behind him.

They rush the younguns' too much nowadays. The marketing allure is too great for everyone to resist and drivers aren't given the proper seasoning. Anyhow, just my 2 cents. :)

I agree, it is really frustrating. I think they are still trying to get a handle on the knew body, but these are two of the tracks he did really well on last year.

i bet though that once he gets his first win though he will get a streak going.

Muggle, racer and jrfan, I agree with all of that. However, muggle, this is how they do things these days and the presure is on. If you don't produce, you're history. Not that I think Kasey will be history soon, simply because he showed so much last year. Racer and jrfan, you both have good points. If you can remember, it was Dale Earnhardt who had problems with the new radial tires when they were introduced and took a year to get used to them. The rest, as they say, is history.

Of course, we can't count Kasey out of anything just yet, it's so early, but there are a couple of guys who were hot all year last year and they are still going strong. I'd hate to think that the season is decided in the first quarter of the races, but it really hard to make up for three major failures at the beginning. The only thing that is a savior here is the Chase for the Cup. It's a race for tenth place and I'm sure this year the competition will be much better. I'd look for more points racing early on in the season.

yep..

I hope he has a better season. I see 3 wins and 2 poles for him this year.

Well right now he is 38th in points. Right now he is in danger of not making the field if he doesn't have a good qualifying run.

I fully agree with that, although these young guns do have talent they just don't have the experience at this level. I hope they don't get burned out or even tossed aside at a very young age. case in point Casey Atwood seemed to just get tossed aside even though he seemed to have plenty of talent. If I were in Casey's shoes I'd be very discouraged.
Just Adding my two cents.

I think that he just hasn't got his bearings straight with the new spoiler and the new tires. Im sure he will start getting more and more top 5s and maybe he'll even get that first win this year.

Kasey will be fine. He has alot of pressure and expectations on him this year. It would be hard on anyone to perform under that. He'll be alright!
