Alls I know is he finished down 70 or so laps.. I wasn't watching when he left the track. What happened? a wreck? A mechanical problem? Somebody here knows, and I'd like to know.
Betsy:rolleyes:

I remember seeing his car sideways on one of the early cautions. I think the one that got Harvicks from in. I remember seeing the 7 car sideways and makeing a comment to my husband about him being involved again. Not sure if thats what took him down so many laps or not. That really the only time they even showed him today.
I forgot to TiVo it, so i cant go back and look.

what is it with you and robby anyways betsy?

I'm watching victory lane right now and they, so far, haven't shown anything.
I don't know why anyone would delete my post. I am curious about the race. I really want to know the answer.
Betsy:rolleyes:

Watching victory lane I think I saw the #7 car turned around twice..at least once while he got caught up in other folks wrecks. I guess it was body damage that got him.
No fault of his own.
Betsy:rolleyes:

MARTINSVILLE, Va. (Oct. 22, 2006) – Robby Gordon, who started Sunday’s Subway 500 at Martinsville Speedway from the 26th position, was hoping to surpass his previous best finish of 20th at the half-mile track with a solid top-five run in the No. 7 Menards/Mapei (ma-pay) Chevy. Despite consistent runs in practice that mirrored those of the likes of Jeff Gordon and Kurt Busch, Gordon became the victim of unfortunate circumstances when the pinion gear failed, costing the team nearly 60 laps in the garage for repairs, resulting in a 37th-place finish.
