He was mad because he didn't get to go Las Vegas with his dad, they decided they needed to keep him home according to Harvicks victory * lane interview on FS1.

The apple doesn't fall from the tree. The kid already has the passion, or maybe he was pissed about not getting to play black jack and the dice.
