I'm happy to hear this news. Was really hoping he'd do this sooner because atleast he'd be in a competitive ride.
From Jayski:

Schrader to the Trucks after 2006: Longtime NASCAR driver Ken Schrader [#49 BAM Racing Dodge] expects to move to the Craftsman Truck series after his Cup contract ends following the 2006 season.(ESPN.com/AP)
AND There wasn't a lot of hoopla, not a lot of fireworks. Nonchalantly, during NASCAR's Media Day at Daytona International Speedway, Schrader let it be known that he will not race in the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series past the year 2006. That's when his #49 BAM Racing Dodge's sponsorship agreement with Schwann's Home Service runs out. "That deal is pretty simple actually. You do that when no one will hire you," Schrader said. "We did a three-year deal with Schwann's, with last year being the first year. You never know what's going to happen, but I won't go past next year for sure, I know. Our deal is a little different than some of those other guys, though. After that time, we're just not going to come back (to Daytona) for one race (the Daytona 500). We'll come back, but we'll just bring the truck instead." Once he's done with the Nextel Cup Series, he plans to start racing full-time in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. He's driven in 58 NCTS events between 1995 and 2004 -- including 12 last season -- with his own team. "We're going to gear up to run a full truck deal when we're done (with Cup)," Schrader said. That's the plan. We just bough a new shop, and we'll run one full-time truck next year. We'll still do a limited schedule this year with Federated Auto Parts as our sponsor, but we're going to go full out next year, whether I'm the driver or I get another one in."(Daytona Beach News Journal)(2-11-2005)

Soooooooo, glad to see that. I really like Kenny.
Hopefully the days of going out bawling and squalling are over.

I heard this morning, that 2006 will be his last year in cup, and he will be full time in trucks in 2007. I think it was on SPEED channel
