Nascar.com shows Schrader returning to BAM for the full 04 season...it says that they are close to sponsorship deals...it also says he's running the 44 car...i thought that was a petty car...maybe they goofed.

I believe there were some issues about what part of AT&T would sponsor the car. I think AT&T wanted there wireless service to sponsor the car but with nextel coming in there were issues with that. AT&T collect may still be able to be on the car. Grandfathered in like Alltel on the 12 Dodge
Since AT&T was an associate sponsor for BAM, they will be allowed to continue to be an ASSOCIATE sponsor only. AT&T tried to get a primary sponsor position upon Nextel being named as the new Cup sponsor, but Nascar stated that since AT&T wasn't a primary sponsor as was Cingular and Alltell, that they would have to continue in the associate sponsor role. They would only be able to use the logo for their land-based services and NOT their cellular services.

i saw all the 2004 cars done with Att on has a asscoicate on the car..
hmm well, i saw on ken's web page that the head ppl at nextel made them take it off.
well they might have changed there minds.

if they (nastycar and nextel) want to ban a willing sponsor i think THEY should have to pay the team the $$$ that they are losing by not having that sponsor. that is BS at its finest.
