Here we go again, Kenny Wallace will be given a shot of a full time Cup deal next season along with the Busch car from the same stable. All I've got to say about this is that Mikey Waltrip is better than Kenny and we all know what I think of Mikey, or at least you should know.

Kenny, bless his heart, has a fantastic personality, but if that's all you are looking for, then he's certainly you man for a driver. If however, you want someone who can win, then you need look elsewhere.

I have followed Kenny since he came up from Busch along side two other guys. Here's the score for those three. Jeff Gordon, 75 wins and 4 titles, Bobby Labonte, 21 wins and 1 title, Kenny Wallace, 0 wins and 0 titles. I also searched his history in the Busch series and going back to '88, Kenny has 6 wins with three of them coming in one year, 1994.

Kenny, you need to muster your brother out of the TV booth since I think you do a better job than Rusty, but that's another story. Oh yeah, IMHO, brother Mike is a better driver, but his personality isn't nearly as good, so of course, he has a harder time finding a ride.

He does well in busch a far as I'm concerned. If it werent for these busch whackers, he'd be what...third in points?

Kenny had the opportunity to win a cup race. He backed off to let another person win.

What?

Anyway - you see that in a lot of jobs. Sometimes it's the ease at getting along with someone that makes your job easier overall. Not their direct talent, etc. Kenny is also a great face-man, as said. Sponsors love that. I mean honestly - a sponsor as big as NAPA sticking with Mikey? It's not his on-track performance keeping them around. :)

zif he had the same kinda ride as Gordon had, then he would have won races as well. A driver is only as good as his ride

Exacly. Case in point...Jimmie Johnson

Busch Series...82 starts/1win
Cup Series......169 starts/22wins

Put any one of 20 other cup regulars in that car & they win on a regular basis, too. The COT may expose some drivers next year to being good, but not great drivers.

Good post buckaroo. I had a chance to meet Kenny, he's a really nice guy and a hoot to be around. But he is the least talented of the 3 Wallace brothers. He's not too bad on dirt though. Maybe he needs to look at that.

Kenny would never go there and I wouldn't blame him. His stock in trade is still high in NASCAR and he's going to ride it as long as it lasts.

It all goes to show you that it doesn't really matter how good you are, if you have the personality, you can really go places. That fact is a shame these days, but when sponsors put out the money they do, it's imperative that their product is popular, as well as the driver.

I've always said that had Dale Earnhardt Sr. been thirty years later coming up, he'd have never made it. He made his reputation on the track and when the big money came along, he had proven his worth.

Kenny good on dirt? Well hes good, but like in nascar iv seen him run good a few times, but most of the time he is in the middle somewhere.

I personally love Kenny Wallace and I feel he doesn't win because he's got a lack of talent but because he's got a lack of equipment compared to guys like Kevin Harvick, Clint Bowyer, Carl Edwards, etc. If all these Buschwakers weren't here I'm sure Kenny would have somemore Busch wins by now. Kenny is just being overshadowed by these Buschwakers and he's just had a lot of bad luck since his last victory back in 2001. He's a great talented racer. He's in the top 10-20 more so than what is realized.
Go Kenny!!! Good luck!!! Let's go and FINALLY get another win already!!! Move out of the way Buschwakers!!! It's Kenny's turn to be back in victory lane!!! *crosses fingers*

I don't think sucess is gonna come his way racing that #75 car in cup.
