Media hype notwithstanding, Kenseth's switch to Gibbs so far has produced one flash in the pan? win and now before Texas, Kenseth is 10th in points. Compared to his old teammates at Roush who are 6th and 7th, and his new teammate who is 4th, it may sound good on TV to tell the viewers how happy Matt is with his new team..but is he really? He is beating a driver sitting on the bench and a rookie.o_O

Daytona: Matt was dominating that race before his engine went. He still led the most laps even after running only about 3/4 of the race.
Bristol: Running 2nd when Jeff blew that tire and Matt had nowhere to go.

The only race he hasn't led laps in was at Phoenix. If it weren't for some pretty bad luck he'd be way up there in the points.

I didn't expect him to do much off the bat at Gibbs. I think he is exceeding expectations.

He's making the chase and finishing top 5 in points.

Like people said, if it weren't for bad luck, he would have won Daytona, gotten a top 5 at Bristol, and gotten a top 5 at Martinsville.

Remember , Roush was having difficulty finding sponsorship for Matt . I'm sure Matt is happier having a secure future with Home Depot.

#20 car should be good at Texas as it usually runs well there. Even Logano managed a 4th place with it a few years back.

Kenseth has the best record out of all drivers at Texas in 21 races he has run there. Every one was with Roush. Lots of pressure I would think to do well in a JGR car. Both of his old teammates are ahead of him in points. So what I was saying that the switch MIGHT have an effect...kinda a bit of drama/pressure on Matt and his team this week more than the other races so far.
