I notice on your preview on racingforthewin.com you say radio coverage at arcaracing.com. Did they give up on those Ustream video broadcasts for non-televised races? I wasn't paying attention for Palm Beach, and would have missed it anyways. I'm ready to go now, I just got FIOS a few weeks ago, baby.

on their ustream page there is a video of interviews from palm beach but not actually the race. So, maybe the race was on there but only live. http://www.ustream.tv/channel/ARCA-Video-Network

I've asked ARCA, several times in fact. I've gotten no response. Surprising, isn't it? :sarcasm:

Let me explain the process for communicating with ARCA: Send an email and don't ever actually expect a response.

I guess I can't blame ARCA for stopping the live video feed, how many people were really watching that?

500, I think. And that's being generous.

ARCA put thousands of dollars in to that and just didn't get any results. It's too bad because I enjoyed it. Later in the season, the camerawork was sloppy and the announcers seemed confused very often... but it was still better than SPEED's ARCA coverage.:D

At the bottom of this articles it mentions live video and audio.

Interesting, because the official ARCA releases indicate the pre-race show will be featured in live video but say nothing of the races. That's an Active8/ESR press release.

Like I said, I really don't know since ARCA hasn't answered my questions about it. Now that they have conflicting information on their website, let me point that out to them and *try* to get an answer. In the meantime, don't hold your breath.

I love the racing, but ******** the sanctioning body can be an absolute nightmare sometimes. They still don't have the TV times for the SPEED telecasts on their website.

Shouldn't it be the other way around, live audio for pre-race and video for the race?

yeah, exactly. They really dont even need to bother with pre-race at all. Just halfway decent video coverage of the race would be great.

BTW, ARCA did not write the articles saying there was live video of the race.

Your letters of complaint regarding the confusion should be directed at Erin Sagester at Activ8 Communications.

they shouldn't post it on arcaracing.com if it has wrong information about arcaracing.com

Well, I brought it to their attention. Hopefully they read future press releases before they post them.

BTW, Salem recap up on racingforthewin.com now!

I'll let her slide, and yell at her next time. Well, thanks for checking all that out, and finding out before the race. I think I only went Ustream.com once last year, they also had the live video when you logged in to ArcaNation. The number of views on any of the ARCA videos on Ustream is quite pathetic.
