The Ltn Hour ( Let's Talk Nascar ) Radio Show reported on this weeks show that Robert Yates Racing is also looking at Kevin Harvick to take over the #88 UPS Ford in 2007 as current driver Dale Jarrett's contract ends at the end of 2006. Jarrett has said he would like to driver at least thru 2007. UPS is signed thru 2007.(LTN Radio Show)(3-7-2006)

I've called Kevin's personal pilot to ask him what he thinks. I'll see if he calls me back about it.

He deserves it every bit as much as Kurt deserved the #2.
Oh, wait...

If he doesn't call you back, maybe Robert Yates personal barber has the answer. :)

j/k. Sorry.

I called Robert Yates' personal barber's lawn cutting guys cousin, (who is twice removed by marriage) who told me this was a done deal....

Why not ????

He was handed a top notch ride when Sr passed away, he hasnt done anything with it...why should he be handed another?

i believe a driver shouldnt be handed great rides, i think they should earn them.....well Kurt has just as many championships as Rusty does....

I never really liked Rusty, and i sure cant stand Kurt.

i didnt really care for rusty until near the end of his career...that was just because he was an older driver and one of the last ones i grew up watching....you better believe i pull for Bill Elliot and Terry Labonte (when they race), DJ, Ken Schrader, Sterling Marlin, Kyle Petty, and well those are just about the only ones really left arent they?

i cant stand kurt busch either btw.

A top notch ride for one or two races maybe. The Richard Childress admitted he did not put the money or resources necessary to have a top contending team since the death of Earnhardt.

It wasn't until Daytona, 2006, RCR began to show signs of renewed life.

Kevin Harvick's history with RCR has been one of his trying to make chicken salad out of chicken sheet and not one of being handed a top team for more than one or two races. After that, it has been downhill and not because Harvick is at fault. Childress knows where the blame lies and Childress has accepted responsibility.

The only who ever did anything in a Childress car was Dale Sr.
