Well, Happy29, our President in exile is most likely dead or mortally wounded at Antietam or Wounded Knee or something, in that case I guess I better continue with the Kevin Harvick Fan Club. Well, this club probably wont get as much eye-looks, replies or views as ever before but bloody heck might as well do as we always do.

Looks like we have some paint scheme news and other stuff:

* Harvick Paint News: Kevin Harvick is scheduled to run a #29 Ice Breakers Liquid Ice Chevy at Texas, the new mint item is billed as the future of instant breath freshening.(1-25-2004)

* Harvick to Snap On in the Challenge: #29-Kevin Harvick scheduled to run at the new Nextel All-Star Challenge at Lowes Motor Speedway – May 22 - with a Snap-On scheme.(1-25-2004)

* Kevin Harvick and Matt Kenseth will be featured on one of the covers of Athlon Sports Magazines.

Other NASCAR related News:
* Expect to see a common-template engine from NASCAR before the end of this season, Hendrick Motorsports head engineer Randy Dorton says. Plans that could lead to common engines in Nextel Cup for 2005 are being discussed

Some other stats:

Recent Previous Finish: 2003 - Homestead - Ford 400 - Finish: 2nd
Upcoming race: 2004 - Budweiser Shootout - Starting Pos: ??

Seems kinda slow tonight---so I hope you have more responses then our meeting did! :) I hope Kevin has a good year--along with my man DJ and I guess Greg too!!! Have a good meeting and get ready for Daytona!

Thank god you guys showed up, I thought I was on my own! ;)

Is Happy sulking? He needs to know we care! GROUP HUG! ((((((Happy))))))

Well, I dont know where he is or what he's doing. So, I guess I better take part in the group hug.

Now, wheres DirtyMo? He needs to be sworn in as President.

well i suppose according to the 25th amendment i can be acting president until happy returns....

I'd like to be the first to welcome our new president to power...however, I would like to say that erewhile we are in a state of unlawfulness (as we have no president and the new one is yet to be sworn in) I will consider this my first chance to enact my position as Wartime Consiglieri. Our club may be under attack from all angles...as we can see, we have been infiltrated by Biffleans, whom we have known until now to be friendly...DO NOT BE ALARMED!!! I do not believe they have coup intentions. Please, feel free to leave your house under the safety and protection of your fellow KHFC brethren and sistren. However, do not trust anyone offering to take over the club...these threats will be taken as hostile and penalties will be invented and enforced...we don't want this to come down to a bloody battle.
As far as news of our former President, I believe he was a victim at the Battle of Wounded Ankle. We shall mourn as long as needed and look proudly to our future under President DirtyMo. Long live Harvick, Long live Dirty Mo, God Bless America.

-esoRlxAW, Wartime Consiglieri

so when do i officially get sworn in? Ill need some time to put together a speech for my inaguration...

I think one order of business would be to reinstate me....Dr.Doom commands it!

no, he wasn't assassinated...just a victim...doesn't mean he was killed. Sorry for the confusion.

Arright, here's our new member list. Due to the recent shakeup, we'll have to reform the structure, get a VP and of course esorlxaw, or 'axl' for short will still remain our Wartime Consiglieri unless he wishes to advance further. Got a lot of work ahead of us but let's forget that for now.

Column: Harvick's passionate approach
BY ALLEN GREGORY

WELCOME, N.C. – Some racers approach their sport as a business. They are calculating, cool and boring.

Kevin Harvick is different. The driver of the No. 29 GM Goodwrench Chevrolet takes a passionate approach – on and off the track.

"I care about what I do and it means a lot to me," said Harvick, during the UAW-GM Motorsports Media Tour hosted by Lowe’s Motor Speedway. "I’ve been pretty much bred to drive and it started when I was five years old."

"The day that I stop caring and don’t show emotion is when I will go fish or find something else to do with my time. Even when I’m watching a football game, I like to watch a guy like Jeremy Shockey or someone else that has a little spunk to them."

After finishing a solid fifth in the 2003 points chase, Harvick enters the Nextel Cup season with extra spunk. His Todd Berrier-led crew has remained intact and his fiery attitude remains unchanged despite some past problems with NASCAR and fellow competitors.

"Guys like us and Tony (Stewart) really don’t give a (darn) what everybody else thinks," Harvick said. "We’re going to go out and be ourselves. That’s how we’ve always been.

"You know what you’re going to get with us. You’re going to get a honest answer and you’re not going to get a bunch of (bull) in the middle of it."

Harvick reserved judgement on the controversial new points system in NASCAR which centers on just the top 10 drivers in the standings. However, he stressed that it won’t alter his style.

"It will certainly create a different atmosphere at the end of the year," Harvick said. "But the Nextel Cup Series is not about riding around. You have to drive as hard as you can on every lap.

"Our team has hardly changed at all. We are coming off a lot of momentum from late last year, and we’re really excited to get this season started."

Some critics of the new Chase for the Championship points system feel that the real drama will not begin until the final 10-race stretch.

"I don’t agree with that," Harvick said. "In order to get to those final 10 races, you need to be in the top 10 over the first 26 races. You can’t just lolly-gag to reach the top 10. You have to work for it.

"There will be pluses and minuses to this new system, but it is what it is. I’ve wasted a lot of my time complaining about things in the past. We’re just going to race like heck."

Harvick feels the tradition-rich Daytona 500 hasn’t lost any of its prestige even though the season-opening event is not included under the new arrangement.

"We’ve spent all winter preparing for that race," Harvick said. "If it’s not exciting, then we’ve done something wrong.

"In my mind, the Daytona 500 is still the most important race to win on the schedule. We’re hungry for it."

Agreed, guys like Tony Stewart, Kevin Harvick, maybe Dale Earnhardt Jr. and yuck... Kurt Busch have really put a kick into the sport which until today had guys that were too lackluster and quiet.

Now, back to fan club matters, we need a vice president. :D

Firstly, I'm not in support of Old Ironhead even being let out of the corner in the first place for the reason that he dropped me a very very kind PM a couple months ago. However, it is your guys decision.

We can't do anything about something we aren't aware of.

I think the next order of business is getting some food up in this mug, who wants some arby's?

Yes, Arby's sounds good, I'll bring some Ribs from Tony Romas

WEll I'm not in support of Happy talking sh-t about me while I was in the corner. I didn't take any pot shots at Happy while I was in there, yet he chose to cheap shot me on 2 occasions, why I don't know,I always thought he was a really cool guy. Let's just say I sent him a very unkind pm about talking sh-t about me when I am unable to respond to it. Anyway I got over it and I would suggest Happy do the same. Hell,I think you're a cool guy for standing up for what you believed was right.

are those ribs getting here anytime soon? I'd like some ribs before I finish all this roast beef...did anyone else get any?

SO, does that mean anyone is bringing ribs? This roast beef is almost gone.

In that case, what had happened was a slight misunderstanding between the both of us. I apologize for my behavior, all I can do is promise you that it'll never happen again.

Sorry to interrupt yalls meeting, but since I'm new, I can do that. ^_^ What the heck are all these fan club meetings for? haha :D

Lemme put it this way: We're an elite brotherhood that secretly runs the forum. That's all you need to know.

Hap, if we're secretly running the forum, then the secret is out of the bag, dude.
Turtle, to answer your question, the fan clubs we have try to meet once a week and talk about, well, thus far we've talked about all things Harvick...of course we also talk about each other, other drivers that are "down with KH" and we may have to blacklist some drivers with the start of the new season. I think, now this is just me, that these will take off a little more once there is some actual racing going on. Both the Biffle Club and this one started in the off season, so we'll see what happens. Maybe it will quell all this roast beef/ribs talk. However, there's nothing wrong with enjoying a hearty snack during a race.
There isn't a Vickers club, perhaps you could join this one, or start a Vickers club, or just one where you talk about how dreamy a "certain" driver is. It's your world, we just live in it.

listen folks, it appears as if the biffle club is in contact with greg himself, how do we get in touch with kevin?

Okay, I went to www.kevinharvick.com and e mailed him...mostly letting him know that we had the club and that we wish him the best and that it'd be cool if he wanted to drop us a line. I'll let you know if he does.
