A jilted teen killed a 16-year-old girl in a Connecticut high school on Friday after she refused to go to prom with him, friends and witnesses said.

The violence erupted after Chris Plaskon, also 16, shoved Maren Sanchez, down the stairs and tried to choke her inside Jonathan Law High School in Milford about 7:15 a.m., friends told the Daily News.

I have a daughter who is not far from this girls age. Is this what society has become? We hear no so we become rage-aholics? By all accounts the kid who killed her was "smart" and "well liked"

About 3-4 years ago a high school girl hung herself because a boy didn't ask her but asked another girl to a school dance. Have no idea what is going on.

If that was my daughter, boy wouldn't have to worry about not having a prom date because his prom would be held at a hole in the ground and his date would be with a 9mm and a shovel.

I understand that this generation isn't used to hearing "no" very often, but there certainly seems to be a level of self entitlement that is hard to fathom going on here.
