1/2 cup chopped pecans
1 Duncan Hines Butter Flavor cake mix
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup oil
1/2 cup rum -- not flavoring-- the real thing- Bacardi Light
4 eggs

Preheat oven to 325. I spray my bundt pan with Pam to prevent sticking. Put chopped pecans in the bottom. In a bowl, mix all the ingredients in order and beat 3 minutes. Pour into pan and bake 50-55 minutes. I check after 45 minutes to see if it's done. Remove from oven and glaze while cake is in the pan.

Glaze
1/4 lb. butter
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup rum --- I usually use a bit more. LOL
1 cup sugar

Put all ingredients in saucepan, bring to a boil for 2 minutes. Stir to make sure sugar is completely dissolved. Use a toothpick, or matchstick ( or anything long and thin) to make holes in cake. Gradually spoon or pour glaze over cake. Let cake sit for 30 minutes before removing from pan.

PS --- a good vanilla ice cream goes well with this cake.
