I heard bloomer was. flicking off the officals...

say what ~~~

I was not there, but the g/f was working at the track that night.

The PA system was not working that grate so in the drivers meeting she told them to watch the line up. Bloomer was at the line up board (on a 4 wheeler i guess) when the feature before his was on the track. Sherri (track owner) told the drivers that if you are not inline when we call you, we will start the race with out you. So they started the race with out him. I think Combs and Smith did not get to race either.

They said that two drivers were stoned when they went to pill draw, they did not know there names, car #, or were they was from. And no one of them was not Bloomer.

Someone said there were 4 drivers that did not line up. Couldn't they see from where they were, the cars getting in line. I haven't been to this track, only pictures. It's no fun seeing/hearing him get beat unless it's racing against someone. (even better if one of my favorites) lol

He was parked in the back of the pits were they have been extended. Hard to see staging from anywere there unless you are on the front row or so of the pits. I have not raced there since June of 2006. They really need to update the PA system.

The Pits at Paducah are small, and the PA really sucks there. They added a new pit section this year, but had no lights nor PA. One night i was helping load up a car at Paducah and with a lot of cars and hallers in the pits they just shut the lights off, and i busted my knee on an hitch. I called the office and had a few choice words with someone!

We have a pretty good PA and lights at our track. They come around and tell us about where you qualify, but we have to watch to line-up and be ready. When it's be changed, they have come around and let us know. (to my knowledge)

the story I got has a bit of a different twist.

Because of the noise ordinance at Midnight, The Late Model Main was actually move up to take place before another class. All the drivers in the back of the pits missed the lineup and didnt race, which was 3 or 4 cars. They did not hear of the change and no one came back there to tell them. They were told the PA system didnt work and if theres anything they needed to know, a runner would dash back there and inform them. According to them, that never happened and the track owner was not very polite about the mixup, thus the decalration to not return to the speedway.

This is second person info from a relative of Bloomquist so I cant verify, but it sounded plausible to me.

All i can say is that the person is WRONG. Sherri told the drivers that the PA was not 100% right and they would have to check the line up. and stay on top of things. Their was no runners. I have never seen or had an offical come up to me saying "we need you in line" at all tracks no matter the race they all say the same "If you are not in line, you dont race. It is the driver/crews responsibly to check the line up and know whats going on" The track workers dont have time to go around and round everyone up.
