This guy may jack the car up a 10th of a second faster, but he doesn't work as well together with others," Rivera said, "while this guy may be a 10th of a second slower, yet he works well with everybody. We're the same way. It's about, 'How does this guy fit in the locker room?'"

The NFL pundits say this might be a slight against released WR steve smith.
Begs the question....I have not heard of a "team cancer" in NASCAR. Does this happen at here?

Knaus has said that he'd like to have an executive job while still working in sports after his CCing days. Perhaps he's eying a job with the panthers ;)

Hey, Lou Holtz spoke to the DEI team after Dale's death to give them a motivational push. Football and NASCAR are alot like. Communication and teamwork are key.

Moreso than other sports, you can only be as strong as the weakest link. In basketball, a great player can carry a mediocre or bad team by dominating the "touches". But in football, a great quarterback is only as good as his offensive line, and a great driver can lose a race if someone misses a lugnut on pit road.

like nfl offensive linemen.... pit crews rarely get media praise.....but dang sure get scorn when they fu .
consistency defines tha best.........which takes good attitude as well in workin w/ whole crew...........
no single superstar on tha top pit crews.

Why in Hades would Knaus want to speak with a football coach?, racin ain't a sport ask McNabb as soon as he's done doing his time for that little DUI he received.
