I had to laugh because the leader board at nascar.com is pretty far ahead of the TV coverage. While they were going apesht over Danica's lap she had already been knocked down to 4th on the live leaderboard..
Right now there are 2 cars ahead of Harvick.

Probably for commercial breaks.. either that or censorship. They start it 10 minutes or so before they air it and they can pause it for commercial breaks so we miss less or if some crazy fan runs by and grabs the mic and starts ranting they can edit it out lol

They are still qualifying at the track as it's being shown on TV so technically it is live.
It just has about a 15 minute delay on TV from what is happening at the track.
