Kurt Busch acted like the biggest jerk on the track today.

Did I get your attention? I am surprised that the Networks did not report much about what took place today however after listening to one of the foulest mouths on the scanner I could understand why.

Being at the race I happened to come across Kurt's communication with Jimmy Fennig when he was denied by Matt Kenseth to pass him to gain five bonus points. Kurt actually came across the radio and directed an F-bomb towards Jack Roush and told Jack that he could "Shove it up his a$$" I kid you not. He went on to say that Goodyear was going to cost him a championship and that NASCAR was stupid for not throwing a caution for debris which ended up being a freaking piece of tape on the front stretch from Juniors car. I thought that I was hearing things but after the race I listened to the local sports radio show and a number of other callers could not believe what Kurt said over the radio. Maybe he wants out of the 97 bad enough to get over the Penske that he wants Jack to fire him. Such a disrespectful arrogant attitude this guy has. To me he is no different then the way he was when he had his beef with Spencer a few years back.

Like Jimmy Spencer said tonight on Victory Lane "stick a fork in him."" I for one am very happy for that. Im glad Matt didn't allow him to lead. Good for you Matt.

And you think Nascar didn't hear that exchange? I predict a big fine and point deduction.

He's all pissed because he's the lowest Rousch car in points after being the champ and he doesnt like having to give up points to his teamates cause his boss who he clearly doesnt like told him to. He needs to get out of there, I think being at Penske with Ryan Newman will improve his behavior.

He will never change...always has that spoiled brat attitude, hope he falls on his butt when and if he goes to Penske.

no fine no point deduction, what they say on their radio's really is no ones business. i know he is a jerk but hell the country is to PC when nastycar starts fining drivers for what they say to their crewcheif and evesdropping people get offended that folks is total BS IMHO. :bsflag:

Well I was not offended. I just think that its rediculous that a guy tells his boss to shove it. Others around me had the NBC broadcast on the scanner and during the break the annoucers where laughing at Kurt because of his immaturity.

That's the problem with being so popular. Everybody and their brother wants to listen to what you have to say. :growl:

you know....this isnt the first time iv heard someone say he's acted like that on radio....one of my buddies was telling me he kept dropping the F bomb on his radio when they came through charlotte a few years back...i wonder if this is a normal thing with him or not.

ive also heard that when Jr was in the busch race at charlotte he was dropping the Fbomb on the radio left and right...Sr got on the radio and said...Jr...i just wanted to remind you that your grandmother is listening to the radio up in the condo......dead air followed that one.

Its not so much the f bombs because the get dropped all the time. Its because it was directed at the man that made him a star. They actually reported it on the local news last night during the sports segment. Kurt was mad that Jack would not give the order for Matt to allow him to pass.

Jayski is talking about it now.

Busch not happy with Kenseth: #97-Kurt Busch wasn't happy with his teammate, #17-Matt Kenseth, early in Sunday's race because he wouldn't let him lead a single lap - and gain five bonus points in the championship race. Kenseth said there are no company orders to help teammates, especially when that teammate is a competitor in the playoffs. "When you get in the Chase you've got to get all the points you can," Kenseth said. "You can't give points away. I'm sure (Busch) is mad at me." Jack Roush said he doesn't want his drivers to play favorites. "I don't expect them to do that," he said. "In fact, I'd be disappointed if they did that."(Augusta Chronicle)(10-10-2005)

Actually Kurt was placed on probation and fined before for using foul language over the radio. I think it was last year and he was talking about a NASCAR official. I think it was last year Steve Hmiel who was spotting for Dale Jr was suspended for using foul language over the radio so it does happen. Then again they were all directing their words to NASCAR maybe you can say whatever you want just as long as you don't direct it toward NASCAR

what they need to relize is what they are doing can get them in trouble with the FCC.

In some respect you are right, but if what they are saying is not being broadcast then it is not covered under FCC regulations. Teams can't help it if the fans get their radio channels and listen in. The networks are pretty smart about making sure what has been said on the radio is clean before they air it. Also it depends if it is on network or cable whether FCC regulates it or not. TNT and FX are treated differently from NBC and FOX.

i was under the impression that if you send anything over radio waves and other people can hear it...your actually broadcasting? i could be wrong...i thought i had been told in the past that if you use a walkie talkie and actually cuss using it...you can be fined just as much as a radio station...(dont think that will ever happen though) lol.

there will be no point deduction or penalty or fine because he is a roush driver

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (AP) -- Matt Kenseth and Kevin Harvick were each penalized by NASCAR a second time Wednesday for bumping each other at the end of last weekend's Pocono 500.

The drivers, who previously were docked 10 finishing positions in last Sunday's race, were each fined $25,000 and placed on probation until Aug. 11, a period covering the next seven Nextel Cup races.

With Sunday's race about to end under caution, Harvick spun Kenseth into the infield. Kenseth then did the same to Harvick on the next lap.

NASCAR officials summoned Kenseth, the 2003 series champion, and Harvick to a meeting after the race, then dropped them to 20th and 21st in scoring. Kenseth originally finished 10th, and Harvick 11th.

CONCORD, N.C. -- It wasn’t so much the action, more the reaction, that got Kurt Busch in trouble.

Busch’s remarks after spinning Robby Gordon in The Winston last weekend resulted in a $10,000 wrist slap from NASCAR Thursday. With five laps remaining in last Saturday’s all-star event, Busch admittedly spun Gordon’s Chevrolet to tighten the field.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Roush Racing and Evernham Motorsports were issued the MOST SEVERE penalties among the 12 overall for rules violations that occurred during this past weekend's NASCAR Nextel Cup event at Talladega Superspeedway, NASCAR officials announced Wednesday.

Roush Racing received four of the penalties for an unapproved spoiler adjustment on the No. 16 Ford that occurred after pre-race inspection had been completed. Driver Greg Biffle was penalized 25 driver championship points; car owner Geoff Smith lost 25 championship owner points; crew chief Doug Richert was fined $25,000; and crew member Michael Hillman Jr. was suspended from NASCAR until Oct. 20 including the next two NASCAR Nextel Cup races, beginning with Kansas Speedway's race this weekend.

As long as it doesn't get out over the TV, drivers and crew pretty much say what they wish. NASCAR only steps in when the profanity is directed specifically at them.

Team radios are not considered broadcasting, as such, because a fan chooses to listen in to private conversations. Most teams even give a disclaimer at the beginning of the race saying that what comes over the radio is not meant for children.

You may be right. Different states have different laws about that kind of thing. I remember somewhere a guy was arrested for cursing in public on his cell phone. I guess it all depends on if the person in hearing distance get offended.

Oh to be a fly on the wall in Jack Roush's office when he and Kurt have there litlle discussion..............

I know Hendrick makes the spotters read a disclaimer at the beginning of their 'broadcast'.

The last three races I've been to it goes something like this;
"All material broadcast on this channel through our sign-off or the checkered flag, whichever comes last, is sole property of Hendrick Motorsports, copyrighted 2005. Some language or views expressed may be objectionable to some listeners, we are not responsible for any objectionable material. Good luck to the Hendrick teams - let's go racin'" - cue Jimmie/Jeff/whoever and their plans for the race...

The first time I heard it I was like; Wha?" But, now, it makes perfect sense. =)

You are right, but Ryan is used to having a teammate who he doesn't get along with. Kurt's Roush teammates are just preparing him for the future. I think it will be interesting to watch whenever it is Kurt moves to the 2.

I'm a huge Kurt fan and I have to say that even I don't agree with that BS.

Newman would beat the hell out of Elf boy if they were ever to get into a confrontation. Kurt Busch is the most immature driver on the circuit. People say Gordon whines a lot? Gordon don't have crap on Busch. I have yet to see Kyle act this way, so I'm not sure if he does or not. I can't stand Kurt. It would't hurt my feelings if he was fired by Roush and then Penske canceled their deal.

No, Kyle Busch is.

Watching INC tonight during one of their Nextel Fan Scan moments when they monitor a teams radio traffic, just shows how big of an ass Kurt can be. Calling the other drivers clowns and smarting off towards Greg Biffle when he was avoiding contact on pit road. Sheesh.

Yes but Mikey had the great comeback to it. Mikey simply stated that you have to consider the source. :)
