There has been so much chatter on Sirius Speedway on what Kurt will do this year..

poll to be added

No wins, no Chase. I'm not a believer in Kurt.

But are you a believer in Hendrick Cars and Engines?

Ask Tony Stewart what he thinks.

Some folks said the same when Tony left JGR. Of Course that was years ago, and we have all forgotten by now, yes?

He'll win a restrictor plate race and a road course race. Not sure he'll make the top 20 though.

Kurt and Smith may team up and dominate the plate tracks. The 51 finished the season 30th in points with Cassill behind the wheel most of the year. That may not sound like much, but I think Kurt is 15 to 20 places better than Landon is.

Yeah, it's all about the equipment and people setting it up.

Look at Stewart HAAS racing. Before Tony got their, they were basically has beens. To go from that to what you saw this fall, that's enough to believe in any driver who is as gifted as Kurt, Kyle, Tony, Jimmie, etc.

Ya'll got it all wrong anymore it's not the driver who makes the difference it's the "Catch Can Man" who has the biggest impact on how a team runs! CCM's have Won many a race and championship.

Two distinctly different drivers and yes I've always believed in Stewart. Not so much, when it comes to Kurt Busch. I don't care what equipment he's in. He's burned enough candles at all ends. He's an arrogant a-hole who's running out of options in this series. I've witnessed his rebirth in this series before only to see the real Kurt Busch come back again. It's only a matter of time and we'll see the same again. History tends to repeat itself.

 I can't get away with saying how I really feel about him......lets see how you do ;)

I agree ,anything more than top 15's would be an unreasonable expectation for basically a new combination.driver/crew chief/team/owner

That's a good team. In 2009, they got a win and 3 top 10's in 5 races with a rookie behind the wheel.

But, Kurt is a sprint cup champ, and, he wins in anything he drives. So how can you argue that Kurt couldn't end up winning a couple races?

sounds like the cup version of tim tebow. <g>

My bold prediction is that he and finch end up in a fist fight and Kurt is then immediately fired.

A good driver knows what he needs and will not simply make do. If it won't turn or it won't pull hard off the corner they will let you know about it.

He will have the tools available to him to be competitive. The car will turn, the guys in the pits will get all the lugnuts tight and get it full without losing spots and the car will be around and in the hunt at the end. This will actually be fun to watch. TS won the Championship with HMS equipment and James Finch finally gets a name driver and could go from being a 30th place car to a contender with the same stuff. You know what this means? Say you are a prospective car owner with interest in starting a new team but you don't know how to get good cars or equipment and you have observed new start-up teams in the past spend a lot of money and waste time while getting no results. Who should you call?

Looks like your opinion of Stewart is exactly what people thought of him as he went through his arrogant, a-hole stages. Yes, that's plural, stages. Tony was his own worse enemy until he got the message and it took awhile. He punched photogs and bad mouthed with vulgarity. He had several chances but he made it and isn't reviled as he was in his early years.

So history does repeat itself. We're seeing it again with Kurt Busch just as we saw it with Tony Stewart.

If, Kurt fails to get his house in order, he still will be a good commodity in Sprint Cup. Unless he is charged with drug use he will be. Drug use is about the only thing no one in or associated with NASCAR has tolerance for.

IMO, Kurt Busch is a foul mouthed, horses backside. I used to tolerate him but after this past season and the way he treated his wife, well, now I just can't stand the sight of him. I hope he just fades away and is never heard from again.

I agree , the list of rehabilitated images in Nascar is endless.DW , Senior,Ernie Irvan, Rusty ,Harvick , on and on. All of it is a tremendous help in attracting media attention right now. As they say in Hollywood , there is no such thing as bad press. Some guys will race in the Daytona 500 and not get a mention on air , I guarantee their names won't be Busch.

In addition to all the other stories which must be told during Daytona Speed Weeks media will have their hands full because Danica Patrick and Kurt Busch will probably get the most attention
