Kyle Busch gets all the attention in this family of late. But did anyone catch part of the radio transmission from Kurt yesterday just berating the crew chief, crew, etc.? It's no wonder Pat Tryson is leaving. Rumor has it they are having a hard time finding candidates to fill Tryson's spot because no one wants to work as Kurt's crew chief. This will be interesting to watch.

In yesterday's pre-race coverage they did a bit on Kurt Busch and some of his radio transmissions from Louden. I didn't hear the scanner bytes that you're talking about but from what I heard yesterday, I understand why they'd have a hard time finding a replacement.

kurt and Kyle are both going to eventually find themselves in more trouble. Do you think Kurt will ever get another ride with Roush. :D

Kurt has nothing on Kyle these days.

Kurt is a completely different from the one that got up at the 2004 Champion's award banquet and told NASCAR to "lick my salty nuts". Since moving to Penske, The Captain has turned a stupid and selfish brat into one of the best racers in the garage who's a ligit contender for the Cup.

But to be fair, Kurt is sometimes blunt about his car performance over the radio. He's been told about this many times, but it's hard for a driver some times not to do this.

Hell, Jimmie Johnson does this to Knaus from time to time. JJ even admitted this to President Obama saying that "as a driver, you feel like you're complaining about the car all the time."

My man Junior did this frequently when Eury Jr was on the pitbox.

I hate to defend a Busch, but before the advent of scanners that listen to private radio transmissions, would we have every criticized a driver on how he spoke to his team? He is a good racer because of his talent and his passion to win. So he gets a little heated behind the wheel when things aren't to his liking and gets a little rude on the radio. Would we berate a CEO if he let it rip on his colleagues if things weren't successful? I know my boss will rip me a new one if he feels it necessary. I know at the end of the day that it will help me to do a better job. His crew knows that he may go a bit over the edge, but that's how he communicates. Plus they kn ow him for that and can stay or leave otherwise. Who knows, maybe when he gets back to the shop the crew rips him about his driving. (I would sure like to here that!)

Kurt has his side that you see when the cameras are around and the other side that is similar to how he's always been. He comes off as a phoney when he's in front of the camera. It just the way he acts and talks.

It seems like ever since his DUI incident way back when, he's certainly portrayed himself different in front of the camera.

And as for ripping the team a new one, no one on the planet was better than BigE.

At Daytona one year, coming out off the jack, he hit a tire that caved in the front. He started with RC and worked his way down the team --- throughly discussing the ancestry and incompetence of said team members.

Kurt is not the first, and he certainly won't be the last.

But, it has to wear on the team to hear the b***** all the time.

I don't quite understand...A new what? :)

I honestly think the "young guns" who raced go-karts at age 6 then moved to quarter midgets, legends etc all bought and paid for by mommy and daddy and set up by a hired hand don't know or even understand the dynamics of a race car. There's a few exceptions, jeff Gordon & Johnson being the prime ones.

Gone are the days of Rusty building his own shocks to get the feel he wanted, or Sr and others taking a dog of a car and telling the CC he needed a 1/4 round or half pound of air then having the car come to life.

Just my 2¢, YMMV:beerbang:

I'm with you on that!!
