So I'm sitting here in my car at Kentucky Speedway unable to go into the track because they only let you exit and reenter the track 1 time. WHAT KIND OF BS IS THAT ****?! I've never heard of that, I was at this race last year and they didn't have that policy. The first annoying thing about entering this track is that you are only allowed to bring in 2 sealed bottles of water and no food. This sucks very much but whatever, I can get over that. But they want to trap you in there so you have to buy their $4 waters and $6 burgers. BULLSH*T. There is no sign when you enter informing you of this policy, all they said to me was i had to throw my water away because it isn't sealed. Then when I go to exit they tell me this is the only time I can leave. BULLSH*T. I try to find somebody to complain but no one is helpful at all, they all say this has always been the policy at this track. BULLSH*T. I was here at this ARCA race last year, I exited and entered as much i wanted. I've been to a lot of big NASCAR tracks but they were all ISC owned except for Milwaukee and Nashville. I guess I wont make the mistake going to another SMI track. I guess I should have went the the Lucas Oil Diamond Nationals at Lucas Oil Speedway(Wheatland MO) instead of KY Speedway. So i'll just be sitting out here in the car until just a little before the race which is at 8PM.

**** THIS TRACK AND SMI

Welcome to Brutons world.

I have never heard of such a thing either and I have been to many tracks. None were SMI Tracks, but that is ridiculas.

Well, it is certainly not that way at the SMI owned Texas Motor Speedway. I go in and out all day without any problems. Ticket is scanned in and scanned out, scanned in........you get the picture.

Yeah, they scan in and out here too but they keep track of how many times. It's all about the $$$ gotta trap you in there and make you buy their overpriced food.

That's a new policy I guess. But don't think it's just Smitty doing this. The people up in the great state of New York found the same thing at a Yankee game. People left the stadium during a 2+ hour rain delay but when they tried to re-enter, they got the same thing you did. But they said that it's printed on the tickets. Don't know how much you paid for tickets to the race, but some of those in NY paid an arm and a leg to see the losing Yanks and weren't allowed back in!

Big time racing is so different these days and I guess that I'm glad that I have witnessed the sport when it was still growing. Prices were lower and the racing was fun to watch.

I guess it is a new policy, but the is no excuse for this at Kentucky Speedway, Yankee Stadium or anywhere else. It's BS, Just do a hand stamp or something. Tickets were $35, but it doesn't matter to me if they were $2, it is still BS. There is nothing printed on the tickets about it, they are generic tickets.com tickets.

Allowed to take our own food and drink into TMS......just no glass.

Maryland International Raceway does the same thing.

Only track that prohibited bringing your own food or drinks in that I've been to is ISC owned Homestead.

Iowa also only lets you bring in 1 sealed water, but that isn't what bothers me the most. It is that they don't let you exit and reenter multiple times. If I can exit and re-enter i can go eat out in the car, not at Kentucky..

Are the stands that empty because nobody was allowed back in the track? LOL

They were empty at the may ARCA race last year too. I think most people there were season ticket holders(season tickets have race pictures on them, my tickets were just generic). I'm suprized they keep doing the ARCA only weekend.

I've never been to a NASCAR track where you can go in and out. Guess I never noticed you could or couldn't.

In my experience SMI tracks are more lenient on what you can take into the track than ISC tracks.

The ISC tracks i've been to, Michigan, Martinsville and Daytona, let me bring anything in except for glass bottles.

Yes but you have to have a clear backpack and a soft side cooler. That doesn't matter at the SMI tracks.

It really doesn't matter at Kentucky since you can't bring anything in except two sealed waters. Maybe SMI will introduce this policy at their other tracks in the future... KY didn't do that last year.

I really don't care about that anyway, I have pockets, I can sneak food and water in. I'm pissed that they don't let you leave the track.

Well I've never been to a track during a race but I've been to the Milwaukee Mile Track for a conecert and we couldn't bring in any carry ins. Samething at Slinger Super Speedway(small local track) but then Slingers prices aren't that bad.

TMS doesn't care about Piddly Squat, Eddie is a good guy. Even in the garage, fans (including myself) were walking in with backpacks, waters, this and that, some people had the soft coolers with them.
