You'd be surprised how far up the pedals are. Once you dial the brake bias all the way forward, You can pump the brake, push it down with your heel, then deck the throttle with your toes. Very similar to the downshift pattern.

Correct!

Have a look next time incar shots and see how their knees are not as extended as in say a normal road car. Then dial front brake, toe on brake and heel on accelerator. Straighten leg and your half way out window.

For the curious, check out this one from V8 Supercars in Australia, I know I know... the steering wheel is on the wrong side and we have doors that open.... but you get the idea. Also... maybe its just cause I am an Aussie.... but I think its a bit better than Kyle's

I imagine nascar or their insurance will put an end to hanging out of the car while doing a burnout. One slip off the brake and that driver could be in real trouble.
