It's funny how when someone breaks a rule or makes a mistake NASCAR is right there to impose fines and take away points.
I think NASCAR should be fined for the bogus pit road commitment line call that cost Kyle Busch a chance to compete for the win.
You'd figure with the number of NASCAR officials at the track these days that SOME of them would actually be looking at the racecars.

I missed the race, what happened?

yep, i'd never even heard of that infraction before. and of course kyle didn't break it anyway.

sorta makes you understand why robby g refused to accept nascar's ruling at montreal.

You have a point. I wonder what Nascar would have done if Kyle had kept on racing and refused to go to the back of the line.

He got hosed, but you have to honor the ruling, even if it's wrong.

If you get hosed on a call in the NFL about a fumble or something, you can't just keep your offense on the field and hike the ball.

That's just a reality of sports. The officials aren't always right. Robby's behavior was really immature IMO.

Busch feels that Nascar had time to figure the whole mess out by running a few more caution laps and I agree with him.

Even ESPN new the official admitted to the mistake.

There are a couple of drivers who probably don't feel that he took it like a man, however, after the restarts.

IMO, he did have 1 of the fastest cars on the track at that point in the race.

Isn't that the honest truth. He ran over quite a number of people.

I'm not a Kyle fan, but I agree with him, it wouldn't have hurt to take a couple of extra caution laps to look at the tape and do the right thing.

While I would never use the two words of Busch and fan in the same sentence, Kyle handled himself in a very gentlemanly way. He was clearly wronged and still smiled for the camera and didn't trash talk. That's a big step to me. Granted, he ran over the rst of the field to get back into the 4th place, but he raced like he always does. Kyle Busch: The bigger man. Who da thunk?

Nice post. It's definitely a process and I think he's maturing.

The kid just turned 22 for pete's sake.

I love how Nascar said they're going to do something to "make it right." HUH? How can you give someone back a race? :idunno:
