This thread is meant to offset the Kyle bash thread of last week, where all the snivelers bashed Kyle for beating their respective drivers once again.
Kyle Busch won again tonight :beerbang:
Kyle is the only driver to win in all three series at the same track, on the same weekend.
Kyle is currently third in the Nationwide Series, third in the Cup series and 18th in trucks having raced only half of the Truck series races this year.
Kyle is already fourth on the all-time win list in the Truck series.
Kyle has 17 wins in 2010 across all three series.
Kyle has 79 total career wins, 277 top tens and 35 poles across all three series.
Kyle has broken more NASCAR records in the past decade than any other driver.
Congratulations Kyle Busch!!!

Very impressive stats but I still think Brad Keselowski said it best in driver introductions @ Bristol.

His statistics are undeniable . Onion ,last night , could have won that race by wrecking Kyle , but didn't want to win that way. Just different ,that's all.

Two more stats for you.

Kyle is second on the all-time win list in the Nationwide series.
Kyle has tied twice for the most wins in one season in the Nationwide series (2009 and 2010) and is one win away from having that record to himself.

And think, Jack Roush had Kyle in his sights to drive for him but lost out to Hendricks. In stead, Jack acquired Carl Edwards. Two of the better drivers in NASCAR today.

Has anyone else really tried? I don't remember this being some kind of Holy Quest in NASCAR.

Wonder why he didn't try the Nationwide race this week? Maybe he knew he couldn't be Marcos on a road course?

OHHHH THERE IT IS, I expected a response like that earlier in the week but I never saw it until now and didn't expect it from PettyBlue. What took you haters so long? Your starting to disappoint me fellas.

Actually two other drivers tried to do the same thing at Bristol. Elliott Sadler and Brad Keselowski both drove all three. I know Kevin Harvick has tried a few times to win all three in one weekend in the past few years as well. I want to say Kasey Kahne and Ryan Newman have also tried back when Ultra Motorsports was still racing in the truck series. Probably a few others have tried as well.

Possibly because none of them have been up to the task to begin with or knew they couldn't win all three anyhow?

Someone going up two series to win three would be impressive. There are two asterisks in that "record" also- one race was a gimme under yellow and the other was "won" by crashing an opponent.

If we want to start putting an asterisk by every accomplishment, there are going to be a lot of asterisks out there by a lot of names....just saying.

That's what I was thinking, almost every driver that has won would have at least 1 by their name.

Not the 1st one to win by wrecking someone for it and not the 1st one to win under a caution either.

:eek2:

I am out of this conversation, it's getting WAY too asinine.

You guys are unreal, I'm not the biggest fan of Kyle Busch that is for sure, but the Kid can drive. Is he over aggressive sometimes, does he whine and cry when the tables are turned, is he a wise ass, yes to all of those. Also yes to every other driver out there doing the same thing one time or another in their career. That doesn't take away from what he did last weekend, it was pretty special. He has 18 wins now after the last one friday night, still some season left, a lot of guys don't even have 1 win yet this year. Don't use the agrument that he has great equipment, doesn't fly with me, he still has to do the driving, and that is what Kyle does better than anyone in the sport at the moment.

If that were the case half of Earnhardt's wins would have an asterisks by them.

ya know what, if Rowdy was as good in his Cup car as he is in the Nationwide & Trucks, the title chase this season would already be done. Imagine if he had 10 or 11 wins in his Cup car so far this season. Yes he is a very good driver dominant driver in the Nationwide & Craftsman Truck, but against his peers in the Cup series he's just another racecar out there in Jimmie, Denny, & Kevins way, all those victories across the board mean nothing without a Cup title.

Hmm i disagree, he is always a threat to win in Cup too, I never see him as a driver "in the way", how do you figure that??

Kevin and Denny have multiple wins in other series as well. Niether has a cup title. By your logic, they're "in the way" too.

Busch is third in points, and is only behind Johnson and Hamlin in the number of wins this season. Yup, he sure is in he way. If he keeps this up, the only thing he'll be "in the way" of is Johnson getting another title this year.

If you go back to his first year at Gibb's, this was pretty much the case. There were very few in the garage area or grandstands that didn't think Kyle was the guy to beat. He and the team feel apart in the Chase and are just now starting to show some recovery.

Making a statement that Kyle is just an average cup driver and in the way of others is just completely asinine. You should know by now that if he doesn't have a car that has potential to win, he'll do something to take himself out. :) With that strategy, how could he be just another guy in the way?

I understand that not everyone is going to like Kyle, nor should they necessarily, but seriously, do you REALLY believe what you are saying?

Prematurely getting rid of Addington and Kyle being immature was the teams downfall. I'll be the first to admit that he was a bigger jerk last two seasons compared to this one but bad luck and immaturity cost him making the chase last year and a run for the championship in 2008, not lack of talent. Nowhere near that. 2008 he was the favorite to win almost every race during the regular season.

Man did i ruffle some feathers in this one, for all the folks that bash this guy let someone say something negative about his driving ability & all hell breaks loose. The guy is an outstanding driver, really, he has family friendly sponsors in the Cup series that I really wish he could pull into victory lane more often. Love that Snickers car...

Now he's in the record books for losing three races in one weekend! :D

He was already in that book.
I guess maybe if he was like almost all the other drivers, had no personality of any kind and didn't try so hard to win all the time, and kept his mouth shut except to be a yes man to nascar, people might would like him more.

I'd say coming back from almost two laps down for a top 5 finish is pretty impressive. He beat some strong teams that were never down a lap.

In the days of wave arounds and Lucky Dogs not really that impressive anymore.
