I thought people overreacted to the various #48 cheating "scandals" but the reaction to the MWR stuff took it to a new level. Even when Kenseth was busted for illegal connecting rods people thought it was a big deal. But, to people who are bothered by such things, I think illegal parts are small fry in a post-Richmond world.

I take a laissez faire approach to racing. I don't care if people are cheating. The MWR thing didn't bother me at all. I'd make them show up with 4 wheels and an engine and let them have at it. I wish I had been around in the 60s to see all the crazy **** at the Indy 500 like the Granatelli gas turbine car. I even remember the early 90s in IndyCar when Roger Penske showed up with a way overpowered (but legal) Mercedes-Benz Illmor engine that he tested in secret at Michigan at night. Emerson Fittipaldi ended up lapping the entire field at Indianapolis during the race. I don't know why there is this notion that motorsports is like other sports where everybody has to start with zero points on an even playing field. So, the #48, #2 or #20 getting busted for an illegal track bar on a spec stock car doesn't bother me. I may be the only one with this opinion, but it's how I feel.

This is stupid. I thought this was going to be about him not winning in NNS and running well in Cup. Ooooooooooooooo his front end was too low.... Boo hoo.. he didn't even win.....
