Great run today in middle tier equipment. I think he's the sports next star

As long as he gets picked up by the right organization. Wouldnt mind seeing him behind the wheel of the #24 in time

He only had two instances last season in Nationwide where he was even a factor to win in the race. He finished 8th and won rookie of the year. Moving up to cup I don't think his star is going to shine that bright his first rookie year. He is in the hunt with Dillon coming from two championships wins in the lower tiers. I don't think he has the experience, (one year in N'wide) or will get the cars to compete with Dillon for ROTY.

This kid is the ****. I'm sold on him. Even if he doesn't succeed(which I think he will, I think he will make Joey Logano look like Casey Atwood) I love the kids style and desire to race. He's like Kyle Busch without the entitled douchebaggery.

I've wanted to root for a cup driver that races to race for a long time.. Stewart, nope. KyBu, nope...

If there's one driver who can adapt in spite of being rushed up the ranks, it's Kyle Larson. He's got an enormous amount of talent.

I think he'll do pretty good, I mean the kid has shown a lot of talent already and where it's not the Cup Series he won in his first ever race in a stock car, he won in the K&N Pro Series Championship in his first year, not bad for some who was just starting out with stock cars. Arca he didn't do so great his first race, but 13th not bad and then in the trucks he finished 10th then 6th then 2nd but didn't do to good the next time yes finished 27th. His two truck races this year he was 1st and 2nd. Nationwide Series he had a lot of good finishes(17 top tens) As far as Cup goes he's not done much in the few races he's been in but give him time and he'll be racing with the best of them.

he'll have best attitude/ego from a cup rookie in a long time in '14.
drivin skill maturity beyond his youth.
if he gets good cars w/ ganassi......he'll be fun ta watch next yr.

EGR is going to have to make some improvements to their equipment if Larson is going to have a chance. Having said that, the team is not too far off, getting Hendrick horsepower was a step in the right direction IMO.

Watch what happens when you put this boy behind the wheel of a Chevy.

Larson clearly has elite driving talent. But we all know that's not enough. There's not much evidence that EGR can provide him with elite equipment and an elite team surrounding him.

I think he'll be moderately successful at EGR. A young driver will take any open seat at the Cup level just to get there. He seems like a good kid. So I'm hoping he has 5 years or so at EGR, does moderately well, maybe wins a couple races, and then gets picked up by an elite team like Hendrick or Roush. Or at least Gibbs, RCR, Penske, or Stewart-Haas. Even MWR, assuming they survive.

In terms of getting drivers in the Chase, EGR just hasn't been very good.

Hendrick and Roush are uber-dominant. Almost half of all the Chase spots in the history of the Chase have gone to those two teams - 25% to Hendrick and 23% to Roush. Gibbs and Childress each have 13% of the Chase spots. Penske and Stewart-Haas have 9% and 7%.

Of course, maybe EGR will turn things around and become a top team.

But I don't expect Larson to set the world on fire while at EGR.

He doesn't have to set the world on fire at EGR. I don't know how long they have him for but his driving style is high risk high reward and EGR has shown plenty of speed this year.. realablity was a bit of an issue. I think he may get a few top fives and a few dnfs.. finish around 20 or top fifteen if he really gets the feel of the car.

We have to remember that EGR while not top tier, the next rung below.. if he was to finish outside the top 20, that would be a bit of a disappointment.

JPM made the Chase once with EGR, McMurray ran pretty well this year and in 2010 as well - so Kyle should at least be able to do well enough to impress a major team owner and put himself in elite equipment.

NASCRAP just announced that his car fail post race inspection on Saturday...Tagged him for 6 points...

Eh, I'm going to wait and see if what he actually does before I start proclaiming him the next best thing since sliced bread. Sprint Cup is a whole different ballgame than Nationwide.

I think Dillon beats him out for ROTY next year based solely off of quality of equipment, but Larson does have a ton of talent and will probably be in the sport for a long time.

I think Austin beats him out for ROTY but because Austin has more seat time and experience in the top three tiers of Nascar.

He can wheel a midget with the best but being thrown in to the cup series driving a turd may be a bit tough. Its really a shame that these guys racing on dirt cant make any real money.

I have always believed that Kyle Busch loves to race and races to win. You have crushed me

Larson has a lot to learn, but he seems to have the raw talent to be successful. I'll wait and see how he handles the mental part of wrecking lots of cars early on.

So long as they're not HIS cars I think he'll be successful. Sometimes you got move people out of the way to be the first one to the checkered flag. :)

Wouldn't surprise me to see either one of them in Victory Lane next year (even though neither one got there this year :) )

I love that prediction. That'd be awesome. Class of 2000 material.

I love Larson and he has a lot of talent but I made a thread like this about Alligier who dont forget finished higher than Larson in NW points and was top 15 at Kansas before blowing a tire and everyone told me Alligier was a talentless ****. Guess it proves you guys are nicer to new people. ;)

this kid is "cold steel". remember daytona 1st a' yr. wreck never phazed him.
give him run on each track 1st half.....then he'll be top 10 2nd half

Justin has 174 NW races under his belt, 70+ in Penske cars.

Top 10? That's a bold prediction right there.

yep.....once he gets tha feel a' new car...bigger hp...new cc .....after 1st half season.....he'll be up front....
.....kid is that good.....will he finish in top 10 every race 2nd half ? nope....be on hook w/ many prolly ......but he'll be up there a bunch. he-n- stenhouse are my guys next yr .
