Petty charity ride announced
Kyle Petty Charity Ride, the Richard Petty Driving Experience, Victory Junction Gang Camp and NASCAR will sponsor an Oct. 17 charity motorcycle ride to benefit the camp.
The event on the day after the UAW-GM Quality 500 at Lowe's Motor Speedway is scheduled to feature Kyle Petty, who, along with his wife, Pattie, founded the camp for children with life-threatening illnesses.
Riders will travel from Lowe's Motor Speedway to the Petty Museum in Randleman, N.C., where riders will have an opportunity to meet seven-time Cup champion Richard Petty and tour the museum before going on to the camp for a tour, lunch and auction.
