I nknow he's frustrated but come on he was an A** in his interview. When When he's winning he is "God Almighty" but a couple bad runs and he is a jerk

That's the biggest bullcrap statement made on this forum so far this year. How many wins in how many different series has Kyle won this year? Three bad races puts Jimmie on top, a driver that has only won 4 times this year IN ALL SERIES COMBINED? Get a band-aid for that bump on your head...

It wouldn't be so bad if he didn't appear so arrogant and smug when he wins.
His taking a bow amids the boos just adds gas to the fire.

Funny how Kurt has matured.

I think a lesson from Jack Roush and a slap from Jimmy Spencer had a lot to do with that. Too bad someone wouldn't do Kyle the same favour!

Mabye so, but in an equal car he'd still drive away from anyone else out there. He already proved that before this mickey mouse chase crap started.

And this is what made me a Busch fan this year. Good God, I am so sick and tired of the same-old-same-old out of most all of the other drivers in Cup over the last few years.

I want to see a driver mad when he loses, not just get out of the car and say "gee, the Tampax Toyota was running great, and my guys did a great job in the pits, but our end result just doesn't show you how great this team really is, yada-yada-yada...." And thinking he's the best when he wins helps too.

I like it when he gets up takes the bow and shoves it into the Jr fans face, they can boo all they want, check the record Kyle is still better then most. I like that fact that he's an A-hole most of the time!!(so does the media) noise, good or bad, is still noise!! Duane:beerbang:

PS don't give me a hard time about pickin on Jr, I like him too, its his arrogant fans I don't care for.

Excuse him for not being pissed when he has a perfect season go up in smoke over three bad cars. I would be pissed. Kyle didn't say anything wrong. That team deserves anything Kyle has to say right now.

Equally funny how Kurt is running in the back...

I agree, a little 'tude and arrogance never hurt anyone, except maybe the feelings of little girls. Makes things even more interesting.

I have been out of touch with racing lately. where does kyle stand in the chase standings.

Yeah...so..it's frustrating. He's human, with emotions. He's young and has maturing to do. Doesn't mean he doesn't have the makings to be a champion..

Does a team that has a crewchief that CHEATS and gets suspended for 6 races have the makings of a champion team???????

I've said it before, that's why the Chase sucks.
You whip butt all year and have a couple of unlucky races and you're out of the top 10. Doesn't make any sense.

But to be fair, in this case, Busch would have dropped well back in points and lost the massive lead he had no matter what points system was used.

Still, real champions don't quit and put on the kind of face Busch has. Even Jr. had a better attitude; when he was asked if the Chase was a three car race he said "Heck yeah, if you count me as one of the three!".

Face it, Jr still has a slight chance. The last few years. Ask any of the three JGR drivers, I'd bet they'd concede now too, and one of them is a two-time champion. I mean look at the face Stewart's put on lately. What you're saying is he doesn't have the makings of a champion?

There has to be heads rolling in the mechanical department, to many mistakes. Duane:angry:

You're just upset that Johnson isn't into drag racing because then...

It sure seems that JGR has just fallen off the reliability map recently. Trying too hard? It has affected all of the teams, just not Kyles. I personally don't feel bad for either Kyle or Steve Addington.

2008 Non-Chase Driver Standings: Camping World RV 400...

Bobby, ya might as well let it go, the chase is here to stay. And I stand by my statement. Running like JGR has been the last three weeks will cost them the championship, regardless of the points system in place...

I know it's here to stay. I don't gotta like it though. It gives Championships and fame to those who do not deserve it and vice-versa. I expect The Chase to stay, but I believe they will tweak on it some more like they did for this year. NASCAR has a (growing) reputation of not admitting they F'd up. NASCAR created The Chase not to make for more exciting racing, but to increase fanbase, ticket sales and overall profit. NA$$$$$$$$$$$$CAR.
Still beats stick and ball, though :D

I still stand by what I said last year though; the ratings are down because of ESPN.

And they're going to keep going down because of ESPN.

The racing hasn't been as good this year, but a lot of that is because I've been to a lot of races this year that are more exciting than NASCAR. :idunno:

That and the ARCA races have been incredible. NASCAR races are just too long. Good for a nap in between the start and finish though. :)

The Chase and that crappy COT are killing the sport.
There have been a few exciting races this year and I know the COT is a much safer car but something has to be done to improve handling without compromising any of the safety features. The Chase needs some more tweaking, too.

I have to agree, that interview this past weekend at Kansas was pathetic. His answers were like 4 words long. You could tell the reporter ended the interview early because she too was thinking, what an arse!

He is a good driver but I agree, his attitude is terrible. A true champion doesnt act like that when things dont go their way. He needs to take a few lessons from Carl Edwards. Or better yet, the best interview for a race car driver no matter what they finish is Helio Castroneves. He is one class act!
