That was a great game to watch if you are a UT fan, as I am. They were just so much quicker and more athletic and played with such energy it didn't seem quite fair.
Candace Parker was clearly the best player on the floor and Shannon Bobbitt was on fire from 3 pt range early. They just took that team completely apart right from the get go and made sure they knew that they had no chance to win it by halfway through the first half.
I am really happy for coach Summitt and the whole team. There aren't too many people in the world that can say that they won back to back National Championships, but these women can.

yes, it surprised me. I thought that UConn would win the Championship. Stanford played horribly against the Vols. In the UConn game they were smooth and their passing was sharp. They looked like an entirely diffrent team against the Vols. However, I congratulate the Lady Vols on their win.

But Muggle, didn't you watch the men's tourney too? Who in the world would believe that NC would play as they did agains KU? My point is that the Lady Vols not only are good, but they have a reputation for winning the big one and their coach...what else can I say. And yes, I know that UNC has a winning tradition and the player of the year and one of the best coaches, but I will always believe that the men's game is a lot different than the women's game. And lastly, congrats again to those Lady Vols.

Sure I watched the men's tournament. It was too bad that Davidson didn't beat Kansas. UNC was the best team in the Tournament but, upsets happen, and UNC completely forgot their game.
Back to the Vols though. I still think that UConn was the better team in the tournament but Stanford played a great game against them and sent them packing. Not to take anything away from the Vols though as they ARE the Champs................this year.
