Langley Air show

Great pics. What Camera did you use?

Olympus SP-570UZ. Just bought it a couple months ago, right after it was released. This is a great camera, and I'm really pleased. Still haven't mastered might shots at the race track though.

Was that the Canadian Snow Birds? I saw them many years ago when I lived in Iowa and what a treat they were. They flew to music and their show was more about grace than power as the Blue Angels and Thunderbirds of the US are. Looks like a great day for an air show.

my powershot A610 isn't too great at night shots either. Have to have a high shutter for speed but a wide iris for light. Those 2 dont go together well.

Those were the Royal Air Force Red Arrows. It was a beautiful day and I'm sunburned pretty bad still. What sucked was right before the Red Arrows went up, the wind started to kick up really bad, and we got a lot of the smoke from the fires in NC. In fact, the wind started kicking up enough that as soon as the brits landed, announcers started encouraging poeple to head home, and to the vendors to start preparing for high wind and storms.
