l3f's sig put a good parody in my mind that kinda goes with my name...which only refers to the people currently running the sanctioning body and not the Bill France Sr or Jr eras, and definately not stock car racing in general...

if it's deemed inappropriate, please lemme know so i can remove it...

If ya don't like NASCAR and who runs it, then don't watch it. Plain and simple.
 
well...i like watching stock car racing and the best drivers are in nascare...i try to stop watching, but i keep getting drawn in by the top drivers driving the form of racecars that i grew up watching. if i don't watch, then i miss what my favorites do, as well as the guys i like rooting against...(this past weekend i missed both races due to working and not having a vcr, and my all-time favorite's son won, and another one of my favorites both won and was involved in controversy.)

just because i don't agree with the decision makers doesn't mean i'm not interested in the actual sport...imo, the sport is stock car racing, and always will be, whether it's sanctioned by nascare, arca, usar, asa, or someone else...and i like watching the sport.

i don't spend any money on anything related to nascare, because i don't like the way brian france is running things...

...in any case, i'm not concerned with what other people think of my opinions about the people in charge...i just would like to know if this signature would cause problems on the board...

Let me see if I understand the question or problem "race fans against nascare" has here.

First asking if the new signature is inappropriate then explaining the reason for the concern with the follwing quote:

If "race fans against nascare" doesn't care what anyone thinks of his opinion why is there this major concern regarding the appropriateness of the signature???

Some days it is hard enough to get out of bed. Then there is this stuff to rationalize. GEESH !!!!!
 
I've got no problem with anti-establishment ranting as long as it isn't anti-american. :cheers:

I'm sorry...I just can't take it racefan...

I've never heard of anyone that has a beef against the management. Just doesn't happen. Nothing but compliments is what I've heard...

I guess there is a first for everything....

First complaint that I have ever heard against the people in charge of Nascar. :lol: BuT I don't have a problem with it.
 
i'm just unsure why your name is anti nascar and you claim to be a fan...doesn't make sense...I don't care what your sig says though

i am a RACING fan, but i do not like the way brian france is running the sport...nascar, or nascare as i refer to it, with the "e" standing for "entertainment" since brian france has called it an entertainment company, and has made changes in an effort to increase ratings without regard to what those changes do to the competition or the traditions of nascar...it isn't enough for him that having the main emphasis on making the racing good took nascar to #2, he wants to do things to help ratings and corporate sponsors and stop doing what had led to all the growth in the first place.

please let me know when i've stated my opinion clearly enough...further questioning will likely result in me attempting to explain it using different words.

and...no, i'm not concerned if people don't agree with this opinion...i was just hoping that my parody on lap3's world politics sig wasn't going to be frowned upon by the board...it seems all is good, or at least tolerated, so thanks for the input...even if you don't see where i'm coming from. it makes sense to me, although i am mentally endangered...so i don't know if i just didn't explain things correctly, if my thoughts got crewed up in internet translations, or if my thoughts are just screwed up...lol.

but...i guess the verdict is that this is here to stay, for the time being:
 
I understand your explanation. Just because it isn't the way I feel doesn't make me not understand and appreciate how you feel.

Isn't that what a forum is, different people with different views coming together and having discussions? To the best of my knowledge you have never brow beat anyone trying to force your views and opinions onto them and convert them to your view. You've stated clearly time after time that these are just your opinions. You and I cleared the air several weeks ago about that and you have shown me that you are true to your word about it.

Actually a few days ago I was thinking the same thing about Lappy's signature, that changed a little it would be great for you. :cheers: :cheers: :cheers: :cheers:
 
I actually like it, don't agree, but like it anyway. We ALL can agree to disagree here as long as we are reasonably respectful, and YOU are!
