Starting out easy.

Has anyone led a lap at every one of the 8 WC races at Indianapolis?

If so, Who?

If not, who has led the most number of races and how many?

I don't think anyone has led a lap at every Brickyard. It looks like Jeff Gordon has led the most number of races there. 2000 was the only year he didn't lead a lap.

They asked him that question on RPMTonight the other day and he didn't even know the answer. Heh.

Jeff Gordon is the correct answer and he led laps in 7 or the 8 events.

No driver has completed all 1280 laps run at the Brickyard.

However two drivers have completed all but one of them. Name them.

Bobby Labonte and Bill Elliott? (I know one of them is right)

I'm going to say Dale Jarret and Bobby labonte

What driver has led the most consecutive laps in any one race??

Bonus if you know how many laps it was, or the year.

In answer to a question:

Dale Earnhardt led laps in 4 of the 7 Brickyard 400's in competed in.

On the Brickyard site it says that Bobby Labonte is the only drive to complete 1279 laps. Next is Ken Schrader with 1278 laps.

Happy Hour is right....

most consecutive laps? I know DJ's win in '99 was a snoozer. Was it him?

In 1999 Dale led 117 laps, according to my records. That is the record for most laps led in a race.

However they were not consecutive.

Checked it out, that is what the site says. However check out the completed total laps for both Bill Elliott and Bill Elliot. GIGO

Sorry about that. I didn't notice that they put Bill Elliott on the list twice.

No problem at all, if I had gone there first for the info I would not have caught it either. It is not unusual to find those conflicts due to data entry, since they spelled the name two different ways the computer picked it up as two people.

Rusty led a bunch of laps in 2000. Could that be the consecutive record?

Rusty led 110 laps total in 2000, the most for that race. Of those 24 were consecutive according to my numbers. He and BL traded the lead a few times which interrupted his consecutive numbers.

The consecutive laps led record is 43.

Is the record holder a race winner? (I know...I'm too lazy to go look this up)

Yes it was 24rainbow!!

That's it from me for now. You folks were quick today!!
