My laptops broke physically :(

I have another one but it's an 8 year old DELL laptop. Either way, can't use either for school. Time for a new one.

I actually saw a Circuit City store that was still open the other day(i think it was Frday in Virginia). It was well after closing time, but their sign was still lighted. I thought they all closed too.

I just bought a 14" Lenovo ThinkPad. Came with Windows 7, runs well. :)
I bought my HP in fall 2007/spring 2008. Came with vista and 3GB of ram. When I got a 7 DVD, put it on a new drive, slaved the old one. No probs since (good riddance, vista).

Andy, think of getting a little netbook for your backup. They are fairly inexpensive and you can do most everything with them. We have one that we take when we go out of town or on vacation. They are very light and you can load them up with anything you want, even use them for backup.

Laptops have really come down in price though.

They still have an online store...

I just got it on my computer at work and the new Outlook. They both suck.

Nope. Well, not sure about Outlook 2010, but 7 is ten times better than either XP or Vista. Both mine and my wife's computer at home are now 7, and I wouldn't go back for anything. Upgraded my work laptop from Vista and am looking forward to getting my work desktop done too.

Like the commercial says, it just works.

Specs are:

2.66 GHz Quad core processor. 4GB ram, 500GB SATA hard drive (I have a 2TV external as well:growl:), HDMI out, SATA input, 2 USB 2.0 ports and a USB 3.0 port :)confused:).

I have Windows Media Center but this is not a media powerhouse like my other laptop (no sub and superiour sound), it's a ThinkPad so it's designed more for business use. Fast as **** though.

And Windows 7 boots up quicker than any OS Microsuck has ever released.
