Well since I no longer have Todd Bodine to pick on anymore, I'm moving on to Larry Foyt. With the short field issues now in NASCAR Larry actually has a chance at making the most of the races this year, I'm going out on a limb, but I'll predict a top 30 in the points this year! <_< Since his dad would tell ya " that's what we call a qwality tewl"

From now on, any bonehead move will be considered a "Foyt", you know like the Johnny Sauter 180 mph through the pits move. :p or now that I think of it, should it be renamed a "Sauter"? It's up to you guys!

Well Sauter seems more realistic...........I'm not sure Foyt will make all the races. Not to say Johnny will either, but he has RCR and the provisionals.

I vote Sauter move. :D

Hardcore Foyt doesn't deserve to be dragged through the mud. Sauter doesn't really either, I know he can race better than I can...of course, i'm not a NASCAR driver.

There is no dout that Sauter can drive a racecar better than you or I. But that still don't mean he needs to be in a Cup Car. That's my opinion millage may vary.

Ahhhhh..............Johnny will be okay!! :) He's a rookie............he just didn't know that 180 was over the pit road speed limit!! Now, Larry, ummmmmmm......okay, I guess I don't have much to say!! :D

Although i dont agree with what you are saying Ill defend to the deathyour right to say it. First of all Sauter had to go down pit road because Dale Jr. and Tony Stewart were above him and made a move to pit had he not gone down pit road you would all be bitching about how Johnny should have gotten out of Junior's way. Second he has most definetly earned a spot in a cup car he has won more races than Kasey Kahne, he finished higher in points than Scott Wimmer,He pulled an AWESOME move to beat defending Nascar Nextel Cup series Champion matt Kenseth at Richmond to win a race, he helped Richard Childress win the owners points title while splitting time with Kevin Harvick, He gave morgan mclure some of their best finishes of the year last year, not to mention ASA rookie of the year and champion 2001 winning 10 out of 20 races. So where in his long list of accomplishments hasnt he earned a spot to race in the cup series. Those seems to be worthy of a car in my book and most likely everyone elses. Wow that felt good so if anyone else has anyting bad to say about Johnny Sauter please dont or feel free to start another bash thread to which I will probably ignore like I did the previous one. Thank you and incase your wondering I am a Johnny Sauter FAN!

Hey, Tommy29! Why don't you chill out! Since the season started, Johnny Sauter has been the cause of several on-track incidents. And, the pit road thing, well, I guess I'm getting old and the cataracts are obstructing my vision. Cause I certainly did NOT see it the way you say it happened. Johnny Sauter is a loose cannon in a Cup car, and if Richard Childress doesn't calm him down on the track, there won't be a driver one who will want to get near him on the track. All personal feelings aside, they won't want to race with someone like him! Well, maybe the exception being Kevin Harvick. He did defend him when he won the race against Matt Kenseth.

So, I guess what I'm saying is, this is our opinion. You have yours. Now, please watch your language so it doesn't get out of hand!

Oh, and by the way, most of this is being done with tongue in cheek humor.

-Exactly..."What a Sauter move!" Kind of sounds good :p

I agree with you on this. I don't feel you have to chill out. You expressed your opinion in a well thought out manor and did not attack anyone. In fact you expressed that everyone can and should express there own opinion.

well first off thank you Dinoforthe3 for sticking up for me and reading my reply the way it was intened to be read. I know i did nothing to deserve the way majestyx treated me with that reply. I might have said the B word not directed at anyone in particular and all I am doing is defend a driver who I enjoy watching on the track. All I did in my post was bring up several valids points on Johnny Sauter. You need to chill out before you get outta hand. You seem to be in alot of arguements on the board. Sorry thats my opinion not yours.

Love your signature Tommy29 and I agree with you, well not on the Sauter thing but the way you conducted yourself during the post, the B word wasnt directed towards anyone but it was a verb, and I for one did not find it offensive neither did probably anyone else, I think no harm no foul. I dont understand why you should be disciplined for just stating your opinion, but hell, same thing happened to me.

I agree, I think Tommy29 handled himself well in his post. But I don't think any move should be called the "Sauter Move," or the "Bodine Move." Just because someone makes a mistake doesn't mean we should let it haunt them for the rest of their careers. We all make mistakes, we're only human... so don't rub it in on them. I think Johnny is a very talented driver... if not, he wouldn't be where many wants to be... In the NEXTEL Cup series!!

I first thought that redrock had came up with a great joke,ie. Larry Foyt to win the Championship  ,but then saw that He was just predicting a Top 30 in the points standings for Larry, that's still somewhat funny though,I don;t believe He'll even make that lofty goal :D

This post was a light-hearted and comical one guys. Don't pretend that escaped any of you.

To lash out and pretend that this post was meant in a serious manner WAS an overreaction. I happen to like Todd Bodine---and understand that Sauter may have his fans as well----but the overall context of the post needs to be considered before any of us get overly defensive.

Let's all lighten up and pull for any driver we may happen to like and not be so quick to rush to be 'offended'. Stick around long enough and someone, somewhere, is going to say something 'negative' about your driver.....regardless of which driver that may be.

Ok, that's my opinion anyhow.

Gee 97 fan, I don't agree with you often :D but I think this is a great post. LOL

Well, for those of you (Dinoforthe3, Tommy29, Happy29, slick-nick) who seem to think is was scolding Tommy29, think again. I was trying to tell him to chill out, that this thread was nothing more than a tongue in cheek attempt at a little humor. Once again, someone goes off the deep end and fails to recognize "sarcasm" in it's purest form! redrock! ( :p love ya buddy!) If some of you folks would come around more than just once every say 3 or 4 months at a post, then you just might understand how some folks are and just what kind of humerous funnybone they have. ^_^

Now, back to the original programming! ;)

I think I would call the above scolding by all means.

The word that he used, in any shape, form or fashion whether it be directed at anyone or not is not necessary. My "scolding" as you see it was a WARNING to control the language so that it doesn't get out of hand the next time. If you have a problem with it, too bad.

Thanks Happy and Slick- Nick for sticking up for me you guys are awesome. Its nice to have veterans of this board who I respect and whos opinions I respect, it's nice to have them back me up. I'm sorry I didn't find majestyx post funny or sarcastic probably because it wasn't but I just find it a little hippicritcal to rip on me for my language when someone says the exact same thing in the same tone as me and they don't get a sarcastic post about them or tounge in cheek humor reply.

Who said I thought you were scolding anyone? I just said that Tommy29 handled himself well in his post... how is that scolding anyone?

Geez. This is really getting stupid now.

1:"this THREAD was nothing more than a tongue in cheek attempt at a little humor.":Majestyx

"I'm sorry I didn't find MAJESTYX POST funny or sarcastic probably because it wasn't blah blah blah...": Tommy29

Notice the point and get a grip, man.

I personally was refering to the original topic being 'funny or sarcastic'-- as was Majestyx. Like ,duh.

2: "I think I would call the above scolding by all means.":Happy29

Well yeah, I bet you would---but you would also call a 'good morning' by Maj something differently if it eased your salvaged pride over that whole silly and childish 'moderator reform' crap you started a month back.

And yeah---several members have pointed that out to me regarding your remarks. Pretty obvious Hap-ster.

3:Bowtie said the 'B' word. Without a scolding?? Wow. No different in context there at all. Bowtie may be ill informed in his choice of car brands( :p )....but he's a KNOWN QUANTITY. Not likely to go off on a tangent because he is overly sensitive. Which may just be the case with a few of you #29 themed folks on here.

4:"Who said I thought you were scolding anyone? I just said that Tommy29 handled himself well in his post... how is that scolding anyone?":Slick-Nick

Daddy always said if you run with the dogs dont cuss when you get a few fleas. Be your own man----don't just run with the first happy crowd that comes along.

5: To any of you three that are ticked off by these remarks----try to hold out. Life gets tougher. Keep it in perspective.

wow...i'm glad i've had better things to do and worry about recently.

Thanks JrFan4Ever. I think this whole tread sounds silly.

Darn, until all this started this thread looked like it was gonna be fun.

So I guess we are back to the "Bodine move"!! :(

Yeah real bad idea, I have no idea why you got involved in this. It never concerned you. Then to make it a Harvick issue wow that was stupid. Fans of that 97 rubberhead really taught me a lesson I guess I won't try and defend myself on the board when people try and rip me. You Showed me 97 Forever (There's some damn good tounge in cheek humor). This whole thing started because I didn't find it funny that people were ripping on a driver I like and I defended him. Whcih is something all of you have done on this board. Then someone said they didnt like the tone of my post and the language that I used which was not directed at anyone and someone else used the same word I did and didnt get in trouble or told to settle down. Whatever this whole thing probably started because of my regime change signature and said people who told me to watch my language probably thought of this has a way of getting me back or something. Oh well so I am gonna end this by saying Im sorry for saying the B word. I still feel I did nothing wrong but if it ll put an end to this I am sorry.

Tommy29, I apologize that you feel you were wronged. I never intended to make you feel like you could not defend your driver. The thread started out as just joking around, and then you take it serious. Stick around and post a little more often then you might get to know some of the "regular" posters and then you just might have an idea of their intent with a post.

There has been enough name calling, and everyone has had a chance to have their say. It is done, over. Enough. If you have anything else to say regarding this thread, to anyone, you need to say it thru PM.

Consider this thread closed. It has created enough bad feelings. Now everyone shake hands, and play nice. :)
