* Engine Stuff: Larry Lackey, the Robert Yates' motor room specialist who was involved in last week's garage fight with Ricky Rudd, is expected to move to Kyle Petty's Dodge team, according to sources. And Cal Wells' new GM engine operation next season, which will be Wells' first in-house venture, is expected to be handled by specialists moving over from Yates' operation.(Winston Salem Journal)(9-16-2002)
 
Reason for that could be Mike Egy, a former Yates engine shop foreman that now works for Petty Enterprises. If Rudd keeps it up Petty might end up with the whole engine department reunited in their stable! Just kidding really, I think Lackey was out of line.

Hell if he hits kyle and Kyle hits back... the fine will bankrupt Kyle lol

Good luck to them. They are so much better than last year that it isnt even funny. Keep it up and maybe next year or possibly this year a win will come their way..
 
maybe they can win a few races and be a competitor for a top ten in points or better a fan can hope you know
 
Well i think i would hire him as well. he must be a good engine guy or RYR would not have hired him.And since he was part of the Mike Ege days at RYR he would be good to have another guy from RYR come to PE. The PE mototrs have been great this year only two or three blown motors all year long from all 3 teams.(not counting the one kyle blew at Daytona was not a Ege engine)
 
I think he should be perminantly expelled from any and all NASCAR sanctioned series. That includes Petty Enterprises. Sorry, Kyle (or Richard) you screwed the pooch with me on this one.:(
