That was bizzare. The TV generator exploded during qualifying so we missed 10 cars or so including the pole run by Jeff Gordon.

SPEED (so far) has offered no explanation during the broadcast on why they missed 10+ cars make their qualifying run including the pole run. Surely they had to know.

I fell asleep during qualifying and woke up and JR had went from 1st to 4th in what seemed like 2 minutes lol

Probably DW overloading the circuits with his blow dryer again.

Did they qualify after the first or second practice?

The first. That was strange because while I knew the TV was behind actual time of qualifying, I didn't know it was THAT far as having a 3 min. commercial to them coming back and saying they missed 10 drivers. What was more upsetting was them running some old feature they made instead of catching people up on what happened on the track. Seems to me if they had the power to run the feature, they would have had the power to talk about what happened and to let people know about the qualifiers we missed.

It was reported when the power generator blew, there was an explosion and smoke shooting out of it. People ran out and killed all the switches/breakers on all the other trucks so they didn't end up fried. I heard it was pretty scary for the people near it who didn't know what happened at first.
