Late-night, SlicedBread-style crow servicing threadness

I think a two driver combo that shares , like Jamie Mac & Larson and Brad with Logano , are the secret to success . Jimmie and Junior 's teams seem to be pulling together too .

How about these Ganassi cars?!! As a longtime McMurray fan(before the win in the 40) and a fan of the future, Look out folks. Enjoy your tacky cowboy hats.

they both surely got "special no flat " tires from nascar this past week-end !

seriously.....both crews were great all race . big +

Yeah Ted, I remember you saying that Jamie Mac would benefit when it was first announced that Larson would be driving the 42 this year. It's early, but as of right now, it's looking like you were right on the money. I felt like the Ganassi team was already showing signs of life last year and is just continuing to improve every week.

On the track, I feel like Larson is another Kyle Busch. He just oozes raw talent and aggression, and he's either gunning for the lead or in the wall. He's fun to watch. Like KyBu, if he ever learns how to harness and control all that talent, he will be a force to be reckoned with, for sure.

So is the 42 a "better" car than the one that Juan drove or ?

"Or", and that is because I was a JPM fan. Although I do think they are getting better as they go with the HMS equipment. So who knows what Juan would have done this year in the 42, but Larson all day long.

I always thought that Juan was a great driver but I think he was just makin laps and collecting a check in the cup series, the cars must be better though and Larson is up on that wheel for sure. I have never seen anyone adapt to a stock car as quickly as he has, the little guy is a bad ass

I think Juan could have driven this car in the top 10 or 15 all day on Sunday. As much as I hate to say it though. He could not have gone from 9th to 2nd on the GWC.

I'm actually a Juan fan too. The cars have improved

I think it is a little bit of both. The HMS equipment is definitely helping a lot, but I also think the Larson is adding more to driving than Juan was. Don't get me wrong, Juan definitely drove hard every race, but Larson is giving that extra push it seems.

Punctuation is important, I'm a JPM fan.

This whole better equipment theory is very subjective, IMO. I know what the perception is but as far as I can tell it's based on speculation and not facts bolstered by proof.

We all know that HMS and JGR have good gear but the issue is subjected to the likes and desires of the fans of any one particular driver.

My comment , and it is probably way off base , was about team mates /team players . All drivers are self motivated individuals . Some do not play well with others and some thrive on it . Some mind the tension of having a teammate that they can't get along with and others ignore it . I thought that Jamie and Kyle might have a better relationship than Jamie and Juan .

Did you guys see the thing with DW and Danica? DW was saying something about Danica putting her car in places that experienced people wouldn't because she doesn't know any better and then doesn't know how to complete the move.. I think this rookie type bonsai move paired with the ability or talent to actually finish the move is what brought Larson through the field on that final restart. Great move. Very impressive.. I thought he was going to win it.. wish he would have over Busch lol... I still think Larson will have many growing pains this year, I have a feeling when we get to track that the top line isn't the best (like this week) he will fold. It's easier for these young or inexperienced drivers to run at tracks like Fontana, Michigan, Daytona Talladega because of the high speeds and the ability to search all over the track for a good line and stay in the throttle most of the turn. I think Larson can do that with the best of em but I think he'll still have his fair share of rookie mistakes this year.

I'll tell u what though he showed that he is definitely the better rookie Sunday. I expect him to get a few more top 5's and most definitely win roty 2014. Still not sure we'll see him win any races this season but I'll be watching him on race day for sure.

Larson followed Kyle Busch up through the pack after the final restart.

It wasn't a rookie thing. It was a balls thing.

kid has that special on track "anticipation / intuition " gift.....super momentum awareness.

juan did too ..at that age !

I think being able to try different things on the track is what is going to make KL so successful. Go listen to david pearson talk about how to drive a race car. He says people need to shut up and just drive the car. He said he would just move around to different parts of the track depending on how the car was handling. I have ALWAYS said chips cars have never been that bad. Look at who he has had in his cars what drivers had chip really had that have been that great?? jmac had a great year but then again what did he do at roush when roush had some of the best cars?? put another way what ganassi driver has left him and had more success somewhere else?? jmac left for roush he lost his ride there, Casey mears, cut loose from hendrick and RCR. whats reed sorenson done?? All these drivers were best in chips cars and sucked when they left. I think the driver makes more of a difference than most people think, provided the team has all the pieces like a good pit crew. Just like with kurt busch last year a top rate pit crew and he might have won 2 races last year in the 78 car.

I hope Jeff Gordon will follow Larson on the next restart, and take notes.
