The NASCAR Winston Cup Leader Bonus is worth $220,000 to the winner of
the New Hampshire 300 should he also be the NASCAR Winston Cup points leader
after the race. It would be the highest payout in the history of the
program, if awarded. Bobby Labonte won a $190,000 leader bonus at
Indianapolis in 2000, the largest payout yet in the program. The top six
drivers in the current point standings all have a mathematical chance of
winning the bonus. The bonus has only been paid twice in 2002, both times
to Sterling Marlin ($30,000 at Las Vegas and $20,000 at Darlington).
Winston has awarded $1,970,000 in the NASCAR Winston Cup Leader Bonus since
its inception in 1996.

That is so correct eeff. Besides, he will need the money to pay the lawyer fees after Brooke gets done trying to rip him off. (I know that's not nice, but I think she's trying to take him for everything. She needs to be a woman, cut her losses and move on. I'm down off the soap box now) :D

wait......i have a question, if no one gets it this year does it carry on til next year even though its likely not the case>

I bet Martins crew is hoping he wins it too,Ol Mark is one to share the winnings for sure. But I must agree if there is a big chunk of money to be had ol Jeff finds a way to get it.Brook might be his biggest fan right now though.:(

If no one wins a race as a points leader before the end of the year the money from the points leader bonus is split between the top 10 in points at the end of the year.

Good question Zoe!:) I didn't know that either. They should carry it over. Then it would geat real interesting at times.:satisfied

Ol Brooke will probably get a WHOLE lot more than she's worth. Which is probably about two dollars and fifty cents, so your seeing the greatness of the whole I mentioned. What I would like to see is the judge ask her one question: "What have you done in the last 8 years to help earn all of that money?". Then she what she has to say after that. That's what I'd like to hear. Damn money grubber.

She washed his clothes, cooked his dinner, and rubbed his back at night.Plus she worried over the finances, and kept the bills caught up.This is a lot of stress on a women who lives with a race car driver,Just ask some of the other wives of drivers who struggled to keep there heads above water. That poor girl has lived a hard life with Jeff.He should take care of her till she goes to meet her maker. :bs: I look for her to start the Brook Gordon divorce foundation any day now.:D
