To never buy my wife anything that needs to be pluged in, like a new vacumn cleaner or toaster oven for Mother's Day, her birthday, Christmas etc.
I must have 10,000 brazillion dollars worth of tools and she can never find the right size screwdrive. So for Mom's day I got her her own little tool kit for those times she feels it has to be done right now.

I keep a good set of Craftsman screwdrivers, pliers, etc. for my own use. Woe be unto the hubby if he puts one finger on them. hehehe

I love it! I have a very good set of cutlery that I try to keep sharp and in their place but the wife uses them for everything from opening boxes, to cutting cheese with a boning knife. I frown at her but she tells me that these knives are her's as well and SHE can use them in any way she pleases. Case closed!

buck, I frequently remind my "dear husband" that the bottom drawer in the island has about 6 different box cutters, etc. that he is to use to open boxes, packaging, and for whatever else he needs a knife.
