CLEVELAND -- LeBron James is traveling like a professional player these days. And not just on the court.

James, the nation's most hyped player and expected No. 1 pick in this year's NBA draft, is driving a Hummer H2, a sports utility vehicle popular with many pro athletes.

James' ride -- with a base retail price of nearly $50,000 -- has state high school officials wondering if the 18-year-old has jeopardized his amateur standing.

I didn't know you could make that much money at McDonalds. They must have a great stsarting salary to be able to afford one of those.;)
 
Where's 4x? He would probably know about this, as he keeps up with this kid!:)

me too, highboy! Have you seen one up close? When you park in a parking lot, the side view mirrors fold in so that they can't get "knocked" around by someone walking past it. When you get back in the automatically come back out to their previous position. It is too cool!

He probably can't, but it's all about looking cool. Gotta look cool for his boys.
 
And hopefully bust his ankle in the process, thereby ruining his entire future and putting his "mother" $50k in debt.

Yep, there is a dealer north of me that has about 20 of them. H2's and Hummers.

I like the H2's better. Plus there cheaper. :D Here's a pic but it's blurry.

His mom borrowed the money for it and bought it for him. He will sign a shoe contract with either Nike or Reebok as soon as he declares himself eligible for the NBA Draft. The deal is reportedly for between 20-30 Million Dollars. And that is before he even is drafted by an NBA team much less even dribble a ball as an NBA player. I really don't see a problem with him getting the Hummer. Everybody around here is making money off of LeBron except LeBron. St Vincent-St Mary, the private high school he attends is making money left and right off of him. They moved their "home" games to the JAR Arena where the Akron U Zips play their home games so that St V can charge more for their tickets and sell alot more of them than if they played at their own arena. ESPN has now carried two of St V's games on national television strictly because everybody wants a piece of James. Do you think St V gets a chunk of cash for those games? And it's not just the school, the list goes on and on of people who are profiting from his success and yet he is not allowed, even criticized for wanting a little bit of the spoils. Noone is giving him the Hummer, basically his mom got a loan for him because he can't legally get one himself yet. If you want to get an idea how people are exploiting him, try doing a search on "lebron james" on ebay. It will surprise you.
 
I can see it know,Throw Momma from the Hummer.:D That damn thing looks like a Brinks money wagon.:)
