Lebron James' Suspension Lifted

Lebron wasn't being hurt by the suspension anyways. His Team mates were. Suspended or not, next year lebron will still have 30 million dollars and he will still be in the NBA.

If the judge was concerned with Lebron's teammates, then he would have overturned the ruling that the school needed to forfeit their wins and kept Lebron's expulsion.

Nike money speaks.

Doesn't really matter to me if he plays or not, but he is just a kid that has shown bad judgment. Sure he should have refused the jersies, but do you know many 18 year olds that would?

He gave up the excuse of being a "stupid 18 year old" when he accepted a $75,000 automobile.

Money talks, ethics walk.

With this turn of events, I think we can safely say that amateur athletics are a thing of the past in this country.

So, how much we gonna pay Little League players?

I'm assuming you are talking about the Hummer, wich his mom bought him. What I do not understand is how can a women that can not afford to move out of subsidized housing, afford to send her child to a private school and buy him a hummer, but that is not why he was suspended. He was suspended for excepting two jersies, wich seems kind of petty to me.

He is not allowed to accept gifts as he is not a professional.

$850 dollars is petty to you? Wanna trade paychecks for a month? :)

I was wondering the same thing about his mother. :(

It's all about the loud voice of money. This sure isn't teaching this kid anything about ethics, fairness and playing by the rules. A sad commentary. :(

His school and ESPN were going to loose too much money if he didn't get reinstated. Games on pay-per-view, people demanding their money back of tickets they bought for the championships that were coming up...If I was on his team, I honestly think I would quit. If the "fans" wanted to see their team win, that would be one thing, but don't ask for your money back if this kid isn't going to play.

Really makes me glad I got an education, served my country for four years and now get paid crap doing the job I do.

It seems to me like the system is Unamerican. Everybody is allowed to make money off of LeBron but LeBron. I understand the amateur status thing, but it just doesn't seem fair to me. I see the question of "where does it stop?", but that doesn't seem to explain everybody else getting paid but him.

He is still a High School STUDENT, not an NBA player!

He is playig above the rules.....no longer an amateur if he is getting gifts....just like getting paid, so what if games get cancelled on ESPN! My heart bleeds for the kid, what a farce this has become. The kid broke the rules and should abide by them, ther should be no exceptions.

Another example of why the youth of today think they need not accept responsibility for thier actions. A mother who lives in subsidized housing, sends her son to private school, can afford to hire a lawyer to defend her sons questionable actions, and we, yes, you and I, are the ones supporting this crap.

Athletics be damned, this lad needs to learn responsibility. If he screwed up, and the evidence points to the fact he did in fact accept two jersey shirts in exchange for having his photo taken and autographed by him. The story never changed until his lawyer got into court.

And so now when anyone screws up, they should be excluded from the equal of two games and then they can play in the sandbox again. If nothing ewlse, this kid attends a Parochial school and the authorities are the ones who should make sure the rules are followed to the letter of the law and those established by the Ohio H.S.A.A. . But then again, maybe there are different rules in church. It appears when it involves sports, the sky is the limit.
