DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — NASCAR officials placed Nationwide Series driver Jason Leffler on probation Tuesday for aggressive driving in last weekend's race at Nashville Superspeedway.
Leffler will be on probation for the next three Nationwide races for violating Section 12-1 (actions detrimental to stock-car racing — aggressive driving) on the series rule book.

Leffler had two altercations with rookie James Buescher in last Saturday's Nashville 300. Buescher lost control in the 43rd of 225 laps, knocking Leffler into the wall. Leffler returned to the track after repairs and squeezed Buescher into the frontstretch wall 100 laps later.

Leffler denied intentionally wrecking Buescher in postrace interviews, but NASCAR officials parked Leffler for the remainder of the race.

"I don't think it was coincidence," Buescher said Saturday. "I think it was probably intentional ... Taking me out deliberately was a little bit overkill."

Earlier this season, NASCAR gave Sprint Cup driver Carl Edwards a three-race probation for intentionally wrecking Brad Keselowski at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

They're basically telling Leffler "You're on our watch list"

The difference between the Buescher incident and the BK incident is Buescher is a young driver trying to learn and didn't deserve to be taken out and BK is a driver that has absolutely no respect for anyone else on the track and finally got what he's been deserving for a long time. (IMO).

If turning him into a wall at 190mph didn't get his attention ,then maybe hanging him would do the trick? Lets ask the duck.:sarcasm:

Yeah, but it seems to me, most of Brads contact was usually for position, not because he had it in for a guy umpteen laps up, or down.
So the guy likes to race hard for position, good for him. Atleast he's not an Edwards, Hamlin, or Leffler. Hell, even Kyle has more class than those 3. (Saying that about Kyle didn't come easy.)

Let me tell you something Bobby. He's the most exciting rookie to come along in recent years.
The kid has alot of personality and character, and he's got balls. He's good for the sport. If you don't like it, thats just too bad for you. If he wasn't a force, this conversation wouldn't be taking place.

I agree. Those folks who say there aren't any of the "old school""hardnosed" racers like Earnhart and Rusty should take a look at this guy.He takes no prisoners. You want a pretty boy who just rides around, than look somewhere else. This is the type of racer everybody says they want, then when he comes along, they want him to lighten up.
