Let's Go Truckin'

HUTfan --- who knows?

I'm glad SPEED seems to have gotten the gremlins out of the sound. Sure glad they re-played JJ's interview after his wreck. "ran out of talent" LOL

Well, crap. Wish Todd could've run Jugears Jr. down to win one for "Big Guy", but second is a great points night. :beerbang:

He'll never be a true Champion until he knocks off that showoff crap after a win.

That is...

He'll never be a true Champion until he knocks off that showoff crap after a win.
... the thing I like most about Wildthing. :beerbang:

He celebrates when he wins. He tries to win.

I'm sick of Kenseth and Johnsen winning. Everytime they win, they do a burnout (if I want a burnout, I'll drive down to MIR) and then give their interview.

"Yeah my Lowe's Chevrolet was pretty good tonight, so I'm glad we could get another win. I want to thank Lowe's, Rick Hendrick, the guys at the shop, Chad and all my sponsors."

Taunting the fans that pay to attend races is, well, Bush league. Pretty soon he's going to learn a lesson about biting the hand that feeds him.

Personally, (and unlike Andy I've been saying this all along) I think Busch's celerbration and ****iness are a breath of fresh air. His ****y little gesture (just before the bow) is different every time. Too many other drivers get out of the car with the emotion and personality of a gnat, and it gets pretty old.

I agree. And...the fans better get used to it, Kyle Busch is here to stay.

Whatever when it comes to Kyle Busch. Anyway back to the truck race. I was there and except for the winner it was a GREAT race.:beerbang:

The trucks always seem to put on a good race. The problem lies in the fact that trucks are for towing the real race cars to the track.:D

I've never seen those type of trucks towing the real race cars around.

I guess Andy wouldn't know a real race car if it ran him over.

I'd be able to outrun a modified.

Now that coming at you would make you have to pray.

All i'd have to is step to the side...those things can't turn. Real reace cars have steering wheels that actually perform something more that holding the car straight.

Go strap your butt in a Nitro Funny Car and make a 300+ mph pass and get back me about real race cars. :D

Yep, because those "real race cars" at Potomac Speedway are just packing the grandstands. :sarcasm:

They attract, what, 20 people? Maybe 30? :p

I waste away more mass in a week than there is ever at that racetrack. MIR has more employees than Potomac does fans in grandstands.

Not saying dirt-track racing ain't exciting, but when's the last time you've had to take your street car and haul it in the dirt?

Oh wait, nevermind, you live out in Saluda. Sorry, didn't mean to strike a nerve. ;)

Come on out to MIR next time you're up here. Come up to Maryland International Raceway on October 8th for the US Open. You'll get to experience real car racing and a lot of the big shot NHRA teams are going to be out here. Hell, you won't have to pay anything, I'll pay your admission and parking.

As soon as you strap yours into an 800+ horsepower 410 sprint and take a few laps without lifting your foot at a 3/8 mile dirt bullring.

Drag Racing ain't as easy as you make it sound.

Come on up to MIR. Make it a 2-for-1 weekend, come up for 1320X next month or for the Pro Stock Open and go to Potomac Speedway on Friday night. I'll even pay your admission and parking. :beerbang:

Doesn't get better than that. Either way, it's a deal for you. If you don't like it, you didn't pay anything so no worries. And if you do like it, well, you get to see fantastic racing action for free. Plus, you'll see plenty of South Maryland and North Virginia's finest women. Either way, it's a deal for you.

You gonna provide me with the racecar?

If so, I'll see you down in Saluda. :D

The way i look at it he backs his stuff up, if he wants to show off after a win , so be it...he desrves it. Yeh he is a ****y little SOB but so what, a guy with as much talent as him deserves to be a little show off sometimes. I really never liked the guy that much until this year, he's growing on me unlike his brother who i can not stand.

Good call now that takes some round ones to do that!!
