He lied thru his teeth during Totally Nascar and even tho he was funny at times, the trying to like him and give him a chance to redeem himself is OVER.

HISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

He wasn't even on TN-it was IWCR!! And I think he handled himself really well, considering. At least none of the panel were mad at him. I really like Robby, and tho he was beatin gon others cars a bit, he did NOT take out Jimmie intentionally!

uhhhh, ask Kurt what happens when ya don't. Geesh. You want good little boys for heros, try The Boy Scouts.

Robbie dumped Jimmy and Robbie knows it. I didn't see the program but did see the race and he was knocking on his door long before the green flag waved. He is a good driver but he needs to quit the poor pitful me routine!

YOU ARE RIGHT lovin7, it was iwcr. Sorry for the error.

AND so many of us have TRIED this year to learn to like Robber, even a little. Boy Scout, no.. they don't belong in racin and RG is in the wrong series. He, IMHO, belongs in Demolition Derby.

I actually think Robby handled himself quite well on the show. He was remorseful about dumping Jimmie -- even acknowledged that the guy's in the Cup race and didn't need that to happen -- but without actually taking all the blame, which I would never expect of him anyway. I mean, if he admits it's all his fault and that he was driving too rough, then he'll have to tone down his driving forever after that, or risk being called a hypocrite.

I still don't love him, though.

Robbie Gordon no more belongs in demo derby than you do Kat. Shucks, the guy you root for had to have his team-mate block the leader and THEN do the bump and run to get a win and yer complaining about somebody else?

hehe i tought it was funny. and he was seting be side jonny. been better if it was Jimmy

"yeah he had black mark before i hit him...replay it and you will see"

well he did have black marks and his tire was spinning after you done knocked the **** out of him.

Wake up 71fan! Geez, obsessed again and spinning the facts. 25 car never blocked for the 24. That is what you would like to believe. Fastest car won the race. If Rusty was faster, he could have returned the favor.:p

Well said.

Oh well, that's Bristol:D

Obsessed? Not hardly. Amused is more like it. Both the goose and the gander are geese.

I thought Robby handled himself quite well. Acknowledged that he took the 48 out and didn't need to be doing that.

I think Jimmy just got a really slow start. The 99 on that re-start was right beside the 31. The replay showed the 99 well past the 48 when the 31 punted him.

Robby has to proclaim his innocence. He is on probation. RCR does not need another driver sitting out another race. I think he was scared out of his mind that he had stepped in it good. He was practically babbling on the radio. IMO, he was probably relieved at the penalty he received instead of the one he thought he might have coming.

What kills me is so many people surprised that a Childress driver is aggressive. HELLO! The man, and I use THAT word very loosely, made his fortune off one driver with a shorter fuse than John Bobbitt's.......acting career. Sniffles LIKES his drivers spinning everyone out; why else hire Robby?

As to intent, maybe young master Gordon should read what passes for the NASCAR rule book. On a restart, the leader MUST be the first car to cross the s/f line. Jimmie knew this. Maybe he got jumped a little by whoever was leading on that restart (there were quite a few restarts). But if he had been the first car across the line, he gets black flagged and loses at least 2 more laps. He is in the points chase; Robby has read about points chases. Jimmie was in no way at fault. Robby is a bonehead who can't avoid pit walls. End of debate in my mind.

Well Put TNWARD, Absoulutley right. Robby was p'oed at himself for getting himself a lap down so he took it out on Jimmie. He's such a bonehead that he knows that he probably cant hold off Jeff, but still bashes in Jimmie Johnson. Not very smart at all if you ask me.

Rockin' Robby was all over the place Saturday night! I don't know what his problem was but NASCAR pulled him for 2 laps because of his repeated ramming to the #48 car during the yellow pace lap. On the radio to Richard he said something to the affect that Jimmie was more laps down then him and wanted Jimmie to drop back.......what a crock.....NASCAR doesn't care how many laps down ya are on the restart....they go by who crosses the s/f line first. Let face it....he was in a foul mood for most of the night and everybody in his vicinity felt his wrath. He needs to either grow up and get with the program or pack his ditty bag and move on down the road.

I don't remember this word for word but HS might be able to fix it. But on the show they said that RC had a call from NASCAR asking if Robbie was ok(not ticked) and able to handle things after he was spun by Hamilton. Just goes to show NASCAR had their eyes on Robbie from the beginning. I don't think Robbie was too happy about that spin, showed in his driving the rest of the night.
As far as the incident between Robbie and Johnson, I thought the show was pretty good about that. IMO, doesn't seem like Johnson could have got a good restart with his back tires off the ground. Robbie had been bumping on Johnson during that caution. I usually don't care for what Mikey has to say on that show but it was amusing when Robbie mentioned that they should show the replay again and look for the black tire marks of Johnson's. Mikey said well yea they're there, what do you expect his back tires were off the ground. Bristol is a crazy place, things like that happen. Everyone is wanting laps back and it's really a free for all in doing so. And take a driver that is already ticked and it makes for a good combination. I don't know if too many noticed about that incident, because not too many talk about it, but Martin was caught up in that. That sucked.

Basically after the run in with Hamilton or Craven one, NASCAR asked Richard if Robbie was "cool". Richard relayed the message and RG said he was. And yes, that is NASCAR saying "if you are not cool get that way and now would be a good time"

Most of the panel (and myself) felt that JJ got a poor start, but did not buy the tire spinning deal, the poor start may have caused some initial contact, but Robbie hardly eased off once he realized what was happening. Johnny didn't buy Robbie's "gettin his lap back" story for their contact following the deal either.

Some folks seemed to htink the panel was too easy on RG, but what good would getting into some pissing match do anyone? Robbie would stuck to his story and that would have gone nowhere. I thought the guys handled it real well and if ya paid attention, they bought what seemed legit and made brief comment on the rest.

Robbie handled the deal exactly like I would want my driver to if I were an owner. And I do believe him when he says he really did not want to wreck JJ and MM, but it would seem that his frustration outweighed his judgement in the heat of the moment. We all know that never happens with us though don't we? LOL

Again I say do not repeatedly hit the driver in front of you on a caution lap when you have an in-car cam.

Not hardly??? double negative there 71.... oops!!!

And just because they are both geese doesn't mean there was a preconceived or "team order" to block.

JG had the faster car and would have caught rusty anyway!!!

It's the 1080fan.:)

I heard it on my Super Secret Crystal Spy Radio. It carries all the scrambled transmissions between owner and drivers on the same team. I repeatedly heard Rick tell Joe to stay in the low groove for as long as possible.:p

71Fan is absolutely correct!!

And then Joe asked Rick just how hard he should let Rusty put him the wall before he moved up!!:D

71 and HS.... I gotta get me one of those!!!

Were you guys at the race or can you get this over the net somewhere?

Sorry about the "double negative" thing 71... just funnin! :)

71Fan has the deluxe model, I just have the one you hold near the window to get tuned in right.

Ya should have Ryan whne Rusty came on and asked him to park sideways in turn three on the last lap!! Modesty prevents me from quoting directly:D

HS.... didn't quite follow that last one, do you mean Rusty asked Ryan Newman to park sideways? If so, do you mean Ryan was pi$$ed at JG as well?

Naw, Rusty allowed if Ryan would be tried and true team-mate and block the track Rusty would be able to reach Jeff's bumper and.....

Ryan seemed to think this team-mate stuff only went so far... :D

Thanks for the clarification HS.... I figured it was something along the lines of trying to convince Ryan to block for him. Wonder what Rusty thought of him not wanting to do it, knowing that the opposite was probably the case with the 25.

All this inside info is great!

Robby and Kyle need to join forces and be on the same team, but can there be two KLEENEX cars?
