Wow its hard to belive in less then a month i will be out of high school and on to collage, i got a letter and i have been accepted in to West Kentucky Community & Technical Collage. its a 2 year school that is like 45 miles from me in Paducah Ky, so thats going to be a nice drive everyday, wont it?

well lately i have been lookin back and i want to make the best of my next 18 years and try to make them better then the 1st 18.

* I won't be as shy
* I won't be so lazy
* I'm going to take better care of my self
* I have stop dippin for the 3ed time a few months ago. :)
* I wont be so hard on my self for things i should of done or did not do.
* I wont complane about how life sucks in KY and how bad i want to be somewhere else.
* I will let love find me, at the right place, right time, and stop trying so hard that i get no where.

and a few more things.

After i get out of collage here i plan to move to Alabama, i have been wanting to for a few years, i had a chance once but i passed it up. <_< Dont know where in bama, Near dega sounds good but as long as im out in the country and not really near a big city or town. as for what im going to study in school i have no idea i have thought about a lot of stuff but theres a differnce in what i want to do and what i got to do, i do have to be realistick(sp)

To my friends (real like and forum) thanks for being there for me when i need ya and for the good time we have schared.

I thought i would be ready to get out of high school and i want to get out of there and get on with my life, but man its going to be differnt.

Thanks for listing ya'll just had to spit this out. If i go AWOL for a few days, dont worry o' lappy will be back real soon.

Lappy, enjoy you're last few weeks of school. I vaguely remember high school graduation, and I regret not enjoying it more.

May I offer my congratulations, and best wishes for your college years.

lappy, it's been many moons since I went through what you are feeling. It is a wonderful experience, and you have definitely started some very attainable goals for yourself. It is a very special time in your life so, please be sure to enjoy these last few weeks, especially with your school friends! Congratulations on quitting dipping, even though it's for the 3rd time as you said. Do not let that get you down, it is an addiction and it isn't an easy one to kick. I know, just look at my sig.! I have been a non-smoker now for 18 months and I really didn't think that would ever be possibe (neither did any of my family!!!) as I smoked for 22 years! And, don't worry about your rambling. I think everyone here is used to it! (Just kidding kiddo!)

Oh, and congratulations on the college acceptance! :) :)

Have fun in college! Just one piece of advice...if you get the chance to not be a commuter, go for it. You'll learn more in a dorm/apartment in one week than you will in a whole semester of class.

And don't worry about the tobacco bit...

Quitting smoking is easy! My uncle quit 15 times! :D

Thanks guys,

I started dippin just to see what it was like, and i know it sounds stupid but i dont say i was addictied because i could go a few days and not need one i think it was just missin somethere there, and i would see a new kind and want to try it. but i got tyred of havin it stuck in my teath and what not. and i guess its bad when your at school and some girl just looks at ya and says "do you did?, cause you look like a dipper" and im thinkin "just what does a dipper look like?" <_<

if i could live a dorm i would, but i dont think they have any at that school cause its a 2year one. Could go to murray state but i just want to go and get out.

one of my life long goles is to start the Daytona 500....might as well dream big, right guys?

Congrats on being accepted to college!!! You stated some great goals. I know it's kind of scarey getting out of high schoool and facing the world, but you're a good guy and you'll do ok.

Just remember, the forum folk are always here for you....we'll leave a light on and the back door open. :D

I don't think I could have enjoyed my graduation any more, if I had it would have killed me. :p Enjoy college lappy, those are great times.

Lappy, I'm not sure about bow, but I do know that maj did. B) :D

Some great goals Lappy! One oyher suggestion, if I may...learn to type and spell! :p :p That'll get you a long way in life!

yeah, i got the spelling and typing down pat...but math? don't even ask...but lappy, don't worry, regardless of how you spell things or type things, I've never had a hard time understanding what you're saying....and I really think that's the important thing. That's what I try to teach my college writers, worry about what you're saying, once you get that down, then you can worry about how you spell it.

That last push before high school graduation is a doozy to be sure. I had the chance to just take classes half a day and leave as long as I held a job. I declined. I told myself, you only get to do this once. Enjoy it. And oh brother, did I ever. Sounds like you are taking a similar approach. You'll never regret it.

At your graduation, do one thing for yourself. Look around at all your classmates; the ones you know, the ones you don't, the ones you like, the ones you don't...everyone. It's the last time you will all be together, ever. One of my friends was killed by a train hitting his truck less than a month after graduation. Enjoy these last few weeks, it's all you have left of this time in your life.

Don't worry about your future so much that you let the present slip past you.

One last thing: Hug every pretty girl you get the chance to. ;)

You know Lappy......... I was thinking about it the last 2 days while driving through the desert........ it was 40 years ago this spring that I was preparing for my graduation and I was sitting around talking with some of my buddies. Some of us went on to higher ed. and some went straight off to the war in SE Asia.

We all talked about maybe getting a decent car and driving to California to see what all the fuss was about surfing and California girls and all of those things made popular in the songs of the 60's. The trip never happend. None of us had enough cash for the car and in my case, I went straight off to school right after graduation.

Well, here it is 40 years later and I finally made my road trip to Cali. :D

Funny how things work out. Most of those friends went on to other interests. Some never came back from the war, either physically or mentally.

Think about what you want to do, set a plan and go for it. In my case, I knew I would get here one day. Just had to be patient.

Good luck to you Lappy!

Quite honestly, I had a terrible time at my senior prom back in '61. My boyfriend of the moment had to work so I went with a real dud just to go. After the prom he brought me to meet his uncle cuz he didn't know what else to do :( WoO sounds great to me!

I didn't go with a date to my Senior prom, I went with a group of friends. We had tons more fun than our friends that had dates. Know why I know that? They left their dates to come hang out with us.
