A close lightning strike and a huge clap of thunder sent the players on the field running at the Rangers-Twins game in Arlington on Sunday night.
The fourth-inning surprise led to a 45 minute delay.
The thunderclap was so loud, the FOX Sports cameras shook and several players, including catcher Mike Napoli, sprinted for the dugout.
During the delay, several players took to Twitter to laugh about the close call.
"The replay of this lightning strike has me cracking up.I can't stop laughing. It was a reaction and I was out of there. Look at the 1b coach," tweeted @MikeNapoli25.
Fortunately, no one was hurt. Several spectators left the game during the delay.
The Rangers ended up winning the game 4-3 in the 13th inning with an Ian Kinsler single.
